Saratoga Spring Laundry Info

Hey ya'll. If this information is available elsewhere, I apologize. However, I have done a search for numerous combinations of words and phrases, both on Google and on the DISBoards, and I am not able to get my exact question answered. So, here we go...

I read that some laundry facilities on property are still coin operated, even though most have gone to Card Only. I am actually quite surprised that Magic Band technology is not being used with the laundry, but...that's neither here nor there.

Can anyone confirm whether coins are usable at SSR for their laundry facilities?

Coins aren't required, there may still be machines with coin slides but you don't need coins, just slide the slide.

So, you would use a credit/debit card before or after you push the coin mechanism in?

No the DVC machines are free, no payment required. If there are machines still with coin slides, slide the empty slide to turn the machine on.

Oh wow, I didn't realize. Thanks! We've only ever stayed at non-DVC resorts or 1 or 2 BR DVC which had laundry in the unit, so laundry isn't typically on our radar.
