Saratoga or old key west?

Good choice with Saratoga! It's not my home resort but I've stayed there many times over the years. I always request The Grandstand with a view of the pool. The Paddock is nice as well. Both are close to bus stops. My kids like the food court. Not thrilled with the sitdown restaurant. We enjoy the dive-in movies. We've walked to DTD both at night and during the day. It's a long walk and if the temps are high could be very uncomfortable. Much better to take the ferry over.

Thanks for all the help from everyone.i think i might go to saratoga as the pools sound better for the kids and we will use them some days to take a break from the parks.is it really unsafe to walk to dtd from this resort at night because of the gators!??
I am also looking for ideas for eating dinner at night at parks or dtd as we have a table service included in our dining plan although we will earmark 2 of these for a princess lunch or dinner.
I know many of you know which rooms are best and would appreciate help with room location.we will be in a studio and being near to dtd would be nice if the walk is safe or the boat if its not, near a bus stop for getting to parks and a quiet room(very important as i don't sleep well).don't mind being further from reception and main pool-if anyone knows how long a walk it is from the furthest room to here i would like to know.lastly does anyone know about how to get a buggy cheap like the ones disney has as my daughter is 5 and in disneyland paris in january we did use one for a few afternoons as she was bushed-i just don't fancy paying full price it would be a fortune.
;)

OP, I'm the one who told you about the gator info - he's the tread I was referring to - it's in post #4 -

Have a great trip, I'm sure you'll love SSR.:thumbsup2

We also went for SSR, the proximity to DTD and slightly newer build were the main factors for us, tho OKW does look very nice!

I get the feeling both OKW and SSR will be packed full of us Brits this August due to the great offer they have on at the moment!

I just looked at the US Disney site and priced up what we have for 14 nights in August, and the US site came out at $6700 (14 nights SSR studio/dining plan/10 day MYW tickets) whereas we paid around around $2800 (14 nights SSR studio/ [free] dining plan/14 day unlimited [hopper/water parks/Disney Quest etc] )!

You just can't argue with those numbers - paying around $4000 less through the UK Disney site!

:goodvibes
