Last Saturday our family had the privilege of attending an event that the sponsor of our wish was hosting. It was a vintage car, bike, and truck show. Our wish coordinator had told me that this event usually raises enough money to sponsor two wishes!

As we were walking up to the show people started greeting us by name...Sophie, Sarah's sister was a little weirded out by that! Then they handed us some programs for the event and showed us Sarah's picture inside, that made it make sense! They also gave Sarah a big bag filled with goodies...all in her favorite color, purple There were many pictures taken and many people came up wishing our family well...it truly made us feel very special!

We are down to about three months until our trip...getting very excited!

Once school starts next week I know time will fly by quickly I know weather is always unpredictable...any thoughts on whether or not we would be able to hit up a water park while there?? We will be there the week of Thanksgiving. I know we will have plenty to keep up busy without going to one, but they are always fun for a change

You might be able to, or at least the pool @ GKTW. I'm from North Florida, about 3 hours from Orlando & I have been to the beach Thanksgiving week. its hard to predict. When we went on our trip in Feb/Mar, i didn't expect for it to be warm enough to swim & we were in the pool 4 of the 7 days we were there. Bring swim suits just in case.

Can't believe it has been three weeks since I have updated. Life has gotten crazy with school being back in session. It doesn't help that between my teaching job, and the girls being at two different schools...there are three calendars to keep track of!! Sarah has been doing pretty well and has been working so well at physical therapy these last few weeks!

One of these days I will upload some more pics of my wish girl and family!!!

We have dates! We also have a sponsor!!! I think everything is falling into place now, well other than I am not one of these wonderful planning type people that so many of you are! I did find a website that listed which days of the week were the best to hit each park...not sure how accurate those are, but I may try to plan around their suggestions. We are going to be there over Thanksgiving, so the crowds may be interesting!

I am just so excited to have definite dates and to be able to start thinking about plans. Plus this gives me six months to try to drop a few pounds

I am not sure if they do anything special/different for Thanksgiving. I think I saw that you posted that on the main site, maybe someone who volunteers there will have some insight! How old is your wisk kid? I am sure we will see you there!!! Happy planning

Big day for my girls today...they got to start putting stickers on the countdown calendar that our Make-a-Wish coordinator sent to us! How fun...only a month and a half out now. My mom and step-dad just made reservations to stay in Kississmee for a few nights while we are down there. It seems like I remember reading that guests can buy meals at GKTW...anyone know??

My daughter is 16, severe special needs and wheelchair bound. She LOVES Mickey. I am trying to make this as special for her as possible.

NOW I remember, uuhhh, I was just giving a foreshadowing....Yes, that was it, That is my story and I am sticking to it!
