Sara & Ryan's Wishes PJ & TR ~ 8/17/10 WP/GF/Marina ~ 1/22 Thank you!

Thanks! I think it will too. I really loved the mantilla style but my dress didn't have any lace so I wasn't sure it would work so I thought this was a nice compromise.

You can, they are so cute, but kinda pricey so I was going to skip it since I thought the invites would be 61 cents each to mail, but I forgot they charge more to hand sort and my invites are a little lumpy with the ribbon so I was afraid they'd rip if they run them through the machine.

your veil is so pretty! i'm glad your BM dresses are in thats good. can't wait to see pictures of the house!

your veil is very pretty :goodvibes Your guestbook sounds like a great idea! And that's crazy about Disney's floral :scared1: Good thing you guys are going outside and saving so much $$$!

It's getting very close for you!! I can't believe you're at the 3 month mark now. It will DEFINITELY fly by...I can say that from personal experience :rotfl: Enjoy it!!

lovely veil, you must be getting really excited now.

Thanks Claire! I'm so excited, I can't believe the wedding is almost here, lol, but that's kind of a stressful thought too!

Thanks! I hope it looks as nice in person. I have to go next week to pick up my MOH's dress so I'll try my dress too. I'll definitely have some pics up soon, I hope to get a lot unpacked this weekend and actually take pictures :goodvibes.

Your veil is so pretty!! It has a very delicate, feminine look to it. :goodvibes

Thanks! That's what I love about it, I definitely wanted a little detail but didn't want it to be overwhelming. I must have searched all over the internet, I've been looking at veils for months!

Thanks so much. The guestbook turned out great, it was part of our package, but I do really like the idea. I know! I couldn't believe it, I think they were charging me like $4k to rent candelabras , now I'm even happier with Lee's prices .

OMG, I know, I can't believe your wedding is practically here!

I hate the post office. :sad2:

I finally got all the invitations done and went to mail them out today. So I go to a post office near work, and the lady tells me there is insufficient postage on the invites. That they qualify as "parcel" since they are thicker (because of the ribbon bow).

I was so mad, I went to the post office on Saturday specifically to find out the right postage amount and the guy told me it was $0.81 each. I wouldn't have bought custom postage for the wrong amount. Not to mention, I made these invites, so if the thickness was going to be a problem, I would have made them differently. :confused3

I did keep my cool, but I was so annoyed and I know it's not their fault so I didn't want to take it out on them. They did agree to hand sort them and send them out but I may get some back for insufficient postage :headache: And it's even more annoying because I spent so much time on the invites and hand embossing every envelope.

SO I need lots of pixie dust that our invites actually make it to our guests and aren't sent back to me. :sad1:

I am so sorry to hear about your post office dilemma :( I don't know what it is about those places but there always seems to be mixups - and you even asked to be sure ahead of time! I will send lots of pixie dust so that your invites get to your guests asap. pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

UUUUGH! thats so annoying! I think that a lot of time they end up not caring if its a little less then what its suppose to be. lots of pixie dust your way my dear!! pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Ughhh, I feel your frustration. I always have a horrible time with the post office, but what they did to you, that is just ridiculous! I feel so bad for you, I don't know how you kept your cool I would have completely lost it!

I hope they all make it to your guests pixiedust:

Ugh, I would be livid at the post office. How much more was the additional postage? Did it come in a pretty stamp that you could have just added on? They have a pretty wedding cake design for 61 cents, I think.

Thanks girls! I think the pixiedust worked. I did hear that a few people got their invites today and they loved them. :goodvibes

Hopefully all the rest will get to their destinations, I feel a lot better about it today. I was so upset yesterday and just imagined getting all of them back. But they never even mentioned putting more postage on them, so I guess it's only a small chance we'll get them back. It definitely was not easy to stay calm, but it really wasn't their fault, it wasn't even the same post office so I didn't want to take it out on them. Although if I do get a ton back I may cause a scene in the post office that told me it was $0.81 :rolleyes1

Wow...I'm sorry about the post office debacle! I'm definitely glad your guests have already started receiving the invites so hopefully your crisis was averted. I'll send pixie dust anyway! :tink:

And I definitely am glad you are doing what is best for you and working with your outside florist. You shouldn't compromise your vision b/c of cost. I can't wait to see pictures of your centerpieces and entire "look" b/c I just know it's going to be beautiful! :goodvibes

Thanks so much! All of our guests ended up getting their invites and we didn't get any back, so disaster averted! Thanks to all the pixiedust from the disbrides. ;)

I totally agree, I know Disney can do a great job, but I don't want to feel like it wasn't really what I wanted, and Lee comes highly recommended and from talking with him I just love him, so I'm sure he'll do a great job. :goodvibes

Hey Ladies,

I don't know how time goes by so fast, but now I totally understand how just as you're getting really close to the wedding day a lot of brides neglect their PJ a little...it's because there's a million things to do, lol. :rotfl:

So let's see, I'll recap some of the little things I've done so far: We sent out all the invites and started getting our RSVPs. So far only 1 "no", but we're still missing a bunch. For the most part we know who's coming, but there are a few maybe's that I'm not sure about. And Beef is winning by a landslide. So Beef truly is what's for dinner.

Here's a pic of the customized stamps I got. They were really cute and I'm glad we got them after all.

We paid Disney the minimum but we'll still have another payment next month for the balance over the minimum. And we booked our honeymoon flights! So we're definitely going to Hawaii now. :goodvibes

My Bridal shower was on June 5th, it was a Mad Hatter Tea party theme, only it was like 80-something degrees that day so there was no actual tea. Here are a few pics of that.

The wishing well...it's really a hamper

Some goodies, there was so much food, bagels and brunch items, wraps and salads... but I'll only show pics of my favorites, the dessert! :cutie:

and these delicious little cakes. I brought the leftovers to work and one of my coworkers took the instructions to heart and ate like 10 of them.

My friend Erica made the cake, it's red velvet, my favorite!

Everyone was so generous and I got so many great gifts. My mixer, the dyson, my stunning toasting flutes, and one of Ryan's friends made these for us!

Me and my girls.

I had such a great time and it was so fun to celebrate with everyone. Everyone was really excited about going to Disney for the wedding, which was great to hear. And they all loved the wedding invitations, they thought Disney had made them, so they were really shocked to hear that I had made them.

So now I have to write my thank you notes. I got a few done so far. Not sure if I ever posted the thank you cards I bought, here they are.

That's all for today, now to catch up on some PJ's. :bride:

Those stamps are SO cute, they turned out great. The bridal shower looked like a lot of fun and the details worked out nicely to give it the mad hatter theme. Very clever with the hamper though, I couldn't even tell. It looks like a wishing well to me! :cutie: I love that you got the dyson...the vacuum of my dreams! :lovestruc

The stamps are so cute. I have almost the same thank you cards except with mickey and minnie for my shower. Your shower looked like so much fun! Love the eat me cakes.
