Sara & Ryan's Wishes PJ & TR ~ 8/17/10 WP/GF/Marina ~ 1/22 Thank you!

It's official, we're homeowners! :banana::banana::banana:

We had the walkthrough this morning, no major issues. We were also able to rip up some of the carpet and the wood floors underneath look good! I have someone coming to do an estimate tomorrow so we can have them refinished.

Closing was so smooth and we even got money back in the end. :thumbsup2 I joked if we could do it again tomorrow and the lawyer said that's the first time in ten years he's heard someone say that.

Now to head over to the house and paint some test colors on the walls. :goodvibes

Congratulations :thumbsup2

Have lots of fun making it a home!

Congrats on closing on your new house and your dress coming in. I hated having to wait to try it on. As to the wedding, even with the cuts, your wedding will be beautiful. You have wonderful ideas and it will all come together great!

YAY congrats on being a new homeowner!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Your wedding will be beautiful, despite any cuts you end up making. That's so exciting that you go your dress in!!!

Congratulations on your new home! You have so many exciting things going on in your life right now!

Thanks for reading and don't worry, I'm definitely guilty of that too ;). Sometimes I even think I did post something on other PJ's and am really shocked to see that I never did. I'm so excited to have him after hearing about how much you guys liked him! And then I was looking at his website and hey if he's good enough for Johnny Damon, he's good enough for me! :) We definitely want a party so I'm glad to know we're in good hands.

I think DF had a mini freak-out when he got that email :lmao:. He called me right away to ask if I'd seen it. Thanks for the advice, that's definitely what we're doing deciding our must haves and going from there. Most of our guests won't even know about half the things anyway.

I was so excited about the confetti cannons and I asked Karen but she said they have to do it at the end now for safety reasons because people could fall or something . So I think I have to give up on those because we'd have to add photography time.

Thanks so much! :goodvibes I really loved how my hair turned out, I love curls but usually my hair won't stay. It was so strange to get the call about the dress yesterday I didn't think it'd be in until late May or June. I'm really excited to see it since the color is different from the sample and to try it on again. :)

lol, Scott's new site is great and when Ken told me about the DJ he was going to get for us I thought the same thing...he's done all these celeb weddings...yeah I'm good! :rotfl: I'm sorry about the cannons...I feel like I got your hopes up. :sad2: However, you are so going to have a beautiful wedding and you're having your guests watch fireworks on your wedding night. I think that is amazing enough!
Congrats on the new home! You must be so busy b/w wedding planning and getting settled in your new place. Hope to see you on here again soon! :goodvibes

Thanks Ladies! :goodvibes Being a homeowner is exhausting! But we got most of the stuff we wanted to do done, and the house is really looking so much better. And we have the wedding three months from tomorrow, how crazy is that!

Subscribing for further reading :)

Thanks for reading along. :cutie:

hey lady where you been? How are things going?

OMG, we've been so busy these last two weeks. Everyday after work we've been going to the house for a few hours to paint etc and trying to finish packing too. But it was worth it. This week should be much better. ;)

Oh don't worry, I had a feeling Disney would have some crazy rule like that with how they are on safety so I didn't let myself get too excited until I heard from them. ;) Thanks! I'm so excited about the fireworks dessert party, I think everyone will be amazed by that. And the food for that was soo good too, I can't wait!

Thanks so much, these past two weeks have been a complete whirlwind, so I'm looking forward to things calming down a little and getting back to wedding planning. :goodvibes

Sheesh, I've missed out on tons of your planning while I was caught up in finishing my own! I can't believe how close your wedding is getting!! :goodvibes How excited are you?! Your hair and makeup trial turned out gorgeously! Sounds like you guys had a productive and fun PS trip! Hooray! Also, congrats on the house!! Looking forward to following along now in real time once again. :teeth: Hehe

Sara I loved reading about your planning sessions! Roots are incredible!! Can't wait to see your pics!:goodvibes

That's okay, now that my wedding is so soon I totally understand how hard it is to keep up with my own PJ and everyone else's! ;) I really can't believe how close it is now, this has been the fastest year of my life. I'm so excited but there's still so much more to do. Once the invites go out I think I can relax a little. Thanks so much, I'm really happy with how it turned out and so glad the curls stayed, I love curls but my hair usually doesn't cooperate. We really had such a great time, I'm so glad we were able to go after all. Thanks! The house has been great but a lot of work, but now we're almost done and should be completely settled soon. Yay! I can't wait to read more about your wedding too, everything looked just gorgeous and I loved the video! :goodvibes

Oh I hope everything is going well with the house! so exciting.

I hope everything is going great with the house, and I hope to see more updates soon :goodvibes

Thanks girls! It is so exciting and exhausting! But now we've got almost everything done, appliances go in today and we can start organizing the kitchen. The first floor is pretty much done and we're not going to do much with the upstairs or basement for a few months at least. It will be nice to not have paint all over me anymore, these hands need to be picture-ready :lmao:.

Thanks for following along. We had such a great time and I really do think all brides should do it if possible. They really made us feel so special and it's nice to know what the food is going to taste like and things like that. Aren't they? I just love all their photos! I can't wait to see our wedding pics either :cutie:.

Hey everyone,

Sorry I have been completely MIA lately, the last few weeks have been so crazy with the house but I'm so pleased with the progress and now it actually looks like the house of a young couple and not "Grandma's House" :lmao:. I'll definitely post some pics sometime soon so you can see the before and after. And we finally got to bring Max home, he's been staying with my parents while we were working on the house. We really missed the little guy so it's good to have him back, although he's a little confused by this new place.

I do have a bunch of wedding updates. I can't believe it's less than 3 months away now! :woohoo: Time has gone so fast this year, and I know everyone says it goes by so fast but that's because it's really true, so for all the brides that still have a lot of time before their weddings, just enjoy the planning process and get done any little things that you can, or you'll be like me and trying to get a ton of DIY projects done in less than three months! :rotfl2:

We got our guestbook from the Roots, I'll post some pics of that soon. It's really so nice, the quality is great and we really love it. I really like the photo guestbook since we really can keep it out on the coffee table and look at it whenever.

I finally got our floral BEO from Disney...and it was like $10k , I just laughed since I knew we were using outside floral anyway. I emailed Laura back and now it's down to about $1k, which is all the linens and those glow centerpieces that we're going to use at the pre-reception and dessert party. I really do like those and I figure since we can use them twice, it's worth it. I know Disney floral can work with a budget and does a great job but I really didn't want to compromise on my vision for the flowers and using an outside florist, I don't have to. Eventually I will post a price comparison so that other brides can get an idea of the costs. I know I was always curious about centerpiece prices and things like that.

The Bridesmaid dresses are in, and I have yet to go see my dress although I will be going in the next few weeks since I have to pick up my MOH's dress. I also suspect my bridal shower is in the next few weeks so we'll see :rolleyes1.

I ordered my veil finally! I hope it goes with my dress, but I think it will, my dress doesn't have much beading on it anyway.

And I ordered custom stamps for our invites which should hopefully be here in a few days since we have to send those out asap. I went to the post office to have them weighed and of course they were 81 cents each to have them hand sorted. I don't really like the double stamp look so it gave me a good excuse to get the photostamps. ;)

Now I just have to finish making all those invitations!

Your veil is so pretty! I am sure it will look great with your dress!

That is awesome that you ordered custom stamps. I didn't even know that could be done! I agree, I don't like the 2 stamp look either :lmao:

Thanks! I think it will too. I really loved the mantilla style but my dress didn't have any lace so I wasn't sure it would work so I thought this was a nice compromise.

You can, they are so cute, but kinda pricey so I was going to skip it since I thought the invites would be 61 cents each to mail, but I forgot they charge more to hand sort and my invites are a little lumpy with the ribbon so I was afraid they'd rip if they run them through the machine.
