Sara & Ryan's Wishes PJ & TR ~ 8/17/10 WP/GF/Marina ~ 1/22 Thank you!

So I go away to freak out and I miss the greatest news!

Those sharpies are just too cute! :thumbsup2

And... CONGRATS on the house!!! :dance3:
That is so cool! I am so happy for you.

Hi Sara! Congrats on the house and the sharpies look great. Hope all is well with the rest of the planning. :)

That is so exciting about the house!! You will have to keep us up on that as well:goodvibes

Definitely! It's a very exciting time. :goodvibes

I wish I was as dedicated to my diet as you were! haha tho...my junk food week where I was like I just don't care...I lost 3 pounds so I don't really get that haha! You are too good!

I love the sharpies they are great.

Congrats on the house! Thats so awesome! I'm so happy for you. I love the idea of a man cave...sometimes I wish i could send DF to one of those when the video games and football is getting to be too much.

Take pictures when you get a chance! I wanna see!

lol, I talk a good game but I did eat a few too many cookies the other day. As long as you get back on track the next day you'll be fine. ;) Sometimes those "bad" weeks help kick things into gear and shocks your body I think.

I think they turned out really cute and we normally use them to label our lunches so we'll get plenty of use out of them after the wedding.

Thanks! We're so excited and my DF is definitely planning it all out, I'm like wait a second...how come you get so many rooms?! Lol, that's what I'm looking forward too, although I may never see him again! :rotfl: He plays video games a lot!

Definitely once we move in and get things painted. Right now it's "Old Lady Style" and not in a good way. :lmao:

Lol, aww, thanks so much! We really lucked out, the house has only been on the market for three weeks and two of those weeks it wasn't being shown since the realtor was away.

Now I've been thinking of all the little things we want to do. :goodvibes

Hi Sara! Congrats on the house and the sharpies look great. Hope all is well with the rest of the planning. :)

Thanks Stephie! Everything is going well with the house so far and we have our PS coming up in about a month so we'll definitely have lots of wedding updates soon. ;)

That is great news about the house

Thanks Claire! :goodvibes

Those sharpies are so cool! Very cute. And yay for the house! I definitely hear you on the money on the house. We're in the midst of looking, haven't found one yet, but we're planning to have a bid by March. Really scary!

I really like them and DF really did get such a kick out of them, they were totally worth it just for that. ;)

Thanks! We're so excited. Good luck in your search, I'm so grateful that our search was short, but there was not really much where we were looking, we just lucked out. It may happen a lot sooner than you think. ;)

Oh tell me about it. I was looking more at the "cash required at closing" and it's like. Whhhhhaaaat??? :lmao: I guess everyone goes through that though!

Well today we had a massive snow storm that they actually closed my office - which people at work say has not happened in the 10 years they've worked there. I'm hoping it'll be closed tomorrow too, so I'll have to keep my fingers crossed. ;)

Everything is going well with the house. We signed the binder and had the inspection done. The Inspector said that out of 10 the house is a 9. It's in really good condition and there wasn't even anything he suggested to have fixed. Now we just have to get the contract signed and get the mortgage. It's looking like our closing will be 4/15 and we'll probably move in 5/1 which will give us some time to do some painting and rip up the carpet and refinish the wood floors.

I also finally started doing our wedding itinerary and I think I have our ADR plan done. I have to send it all to IPO and hopefully we get everything we want.

DF and I also decided we're going to do the Give a Day, Get a Day promotion since we can get FP's for up to 12 people which will be great for our DHS day. For each person you get 6 FPs to use at the park, 3 for headliner rides and 3 for non headliners. Lol, my DF is all about the FPs, as soon as I told him how many FP's we could get he was all about it. I volunteered us at a stable since I like horses. :goodvibes so just waiting to hear back on that.

That's all for now, hope everyone is staying nice and warm. :cutie:

Congrats on the house. Isn't it crazy how long everything takes!

Ooh, share the ADRs with us! I'm also totally obsessed with Disney food. I travel between the wedding forum and the restaurant forum. yummy! And good for you for doing the volunteering! And how great you can do something that you are actually interested in. I didn't really they gave you fast passes instead. Is that because you will have APs from thr wedding?

And aren't snow days the greatest??!!?

Great deal on the house inspection! :thumbsup2

The snow is really making a mess out of things up North! Here in FL we are just a bit chillier than usual. My dad is in DC, we keep calling and pulling his leg about the weather, telling him we will send our cats to him with small barrels of rum tied around their necks :rotfl2:

The cats are not amused.

And I agree, do share your ADR's! The people want to know! And salivate along as well

Hi Sara, Congrats on finding a house so quickly! That is awesome! Hope you had a good snow day too! Cute sharpies as well!
Marissa

yay snow day! We got a huge snow storm....but in Chicago they are more like....put on some boots and get to work...we don't really get snow days because they are so use to it.

Thats great news with the house!

Its great that your doing give a day. Thats really great of you guys, and working with the horses will probably be fun!

I feel like everything is like hurry up....and wait. It's a very strange process.

Lol, I definitely will. ;) Ooh me too, DF always makes fun of me, and he's gotten used to my food pics for the dining reviews, although I think he thought I was completely crazy at first.

Nope, it's for anyone that volunteers. You can either get a free park ticket, or if you already have park tickets you can get the FP's. They did the same with the Birthday promotion but this is so much better because each person would get enough FP's for up to five other people. So if a family of four all volunteered, they would have FP's for four days of park touring and on top of that you could collect FP's like normal.....oooooo so many FP's!

They really are, we don't ever get them, so it was nice for once. :goodvibes

I was so afraid they'd find something really bad but there is nothing that needs to be fixed. :thumbsup2

Lol, I'm not sure it works so well with cats. They would probably rip the barrels off their necks and play with them. :lmao: The snow is terrible, I hope it melts soon.

Don't worry, I'll post it today. ;)

I can imagine! We pretty much never get snow days. One of my coworkers was saying in the 10 years he's worked there that has never happened before.

We're moving along on the house front, I hope it all goes smoothly.

I'm really excited and DF is excited for all the FP's. DHS is such a tough park for us and if we can use 3 FPs for TSM we can avoid that whole madness in the morning. :thumbsup2 I think it will be fun, DF has some doubts about that particular activity, hopefully it's not just shoveling horse poop. :lmao:

Okay so here's the ADR's I'm hoping to get. :)

1900 Park Fare, Biergarten, Citricos, Donald's Safari Breakfast, Grand Floridian Cafe, Kona Cafe, Liberty Tree Tavern, Ohana, Sci Fi, The Yachtsman and Victoria & Albert's.

So that's the plan, I'm going to email IPO and hopefully we get everything. Our ADR day is Monday.

yum yum! we are doing a lot of the same. I think the 1900 Park Fare is perfect for your girl Breakfast! I think Biergarten with everyone will be super fun, so I hope that works out!

BTW I am listening to the music of Wishes....and thought of you! I will just have to enjoy the audio because we can't see it!

your ADR plans look great! I hope you get them all. That's awesome you guys are going to Hawaii for your honeymoon. You get to look forward to getting married, Disney, AND Hawaii!! That's so exciting. :cheer2:

Your ADRs look great!

We did the dessert party for our Welcome Event and it worked out great, but almost everyone was there. I totally understand the aprehension on your DF's part.

What about looking at a place with a semi-private room (i.e. no rental or minimum fee) and doing a cocktail hour?

We did this at Big River - they blocked off the part of the resturant by the bar for us and we did house beer and wine for $17 pp/hr and then they have menus that you can customize and choose. We ended up doing full dinner - but could have done heavy apps. Now, we had some issues with them - but I'm sure that other resturants would do something simmilar - or just make sure you lock in a price with Big River and try to only talk to one person... But we saved a lot of money doing it this way vs renting a private room and it worked out really well.

I really liked 1900 Park Fare but DF wasn't crazy about it, so I figured now I still get to go. Plus I like A LOT of Mickey Waffles and the mini ones too, the big ones just aren't the same. I'm really excited for that one since I heard they have potato soup and pretzel bread and DF will like the beer, but it just looks so cute in there, I can't wait!

Lol, I was just looking at the new show last night. I watched a clip on Youtube and it was really cool. DF thinks the Wishes song stinks so he was very excited they are changing it. He thinks "Magic, Music and Mayhem" sounds exciting. :rotfl: I do like the Wishes music and think it fits more with a wedding theme, but oh well.

Thanks! Hopefully we will, I'm so glad to be having IPO make all the arrangements. I know, we are so excited for Hawaii!

Thanks and thanks for the tips! We're definitely looking to do something fun but not spend a fortune. I think we'll need to find out who will actually be there Sunday before we decide, I would hate for our guests to miss out on the fireworks, that's such a huge part of the Disney magic. :lovestruc

I'll definitely have to look into it. My only concern is right now our guest list is really big so it will be hard to find a private room to accommodate everyone. I think we'll have around 75-100 people. So that has been the challenge, trying to figure out something that won't cost as much as the wedding but will have enough space. Of course, once we get our RSVP's maybe we'll have a better idea and maybe it won't be such an ordeal after all.

Hey Everyone,

Things have been so crazy lately with the house but it's now official and we're in contract! So now we're just moving along in the process of getting the mortgage and all that and will most likely be closing sometime in April. It'll be really nice to be all moved in and settled before the wedding.

It does really stink trying to be a responsible grown-up though... DF and I decided to change our resort for the PS from Yacht Club to Caribbean Beach. We've always wanted to stay at Yacht Club but just can't really justify the additional cost right now and changing to CBR saves us around $600. I figure we'll be too busy doing wedding things to spend much time at the resort anyway and we'll still have a great time because we'll be in Disney. ;)

I also got confirmation back from IPO and we got all of our ADR's and the Illuminations cruise, so I'm very excited about that. A few of our friends and family have even "signed up" for the meals so far and I think it will be so fun to tour the parks with everyone. :cutie:

And after much debate, we finally picked a cake! It will most likely be in purple and I'm not sure if I love the flowers on it, so I'm trying to think of alternatives to that.

That's all for now. :goodvibes
