Santa Got Me a DISboarder Weekend to the Mouse!

I ordered my regular size in the Mary Janes and they fit well. I'm a huge Shoebuy fan as well. Though I have been patiently waiting for them to get black Mary Jane crocs in my size for over a month now! I wasn't sure if the Mary Janes would be okay without socks so for the first time in the park I wore them with really really thin socks and they weren't too dorky looking with my capri pants. At least I don't regret the decision yet.

No matter how little you try to pack, it always sneaks up on you and you have way more than you thought you'd need.

They looked okay with socks? I wear my Caymens with socks every weekend in the winter but I didn't know about the Mary Janes. If it gets chilly, I'll need socks and not all my capris work with sneakers. Think I'm nuts yet???

Not at all, because I totally have these debates with myself. I had the really short socks too, did I say that? Short and thin, what are they called? Low cut socks? They weren't hideous. It's not something I would rock all the time but I have done it at Disney and in the real world. I totally get the capris not working with sneakers. I have that problem too.

I'm pretty sure we are insane.

I haven't even gotten into all of my fashion dilemmas yet on my PTR. I was looking over at the DISign board and may have to violate my own more fashionable wardrobe and make more Disney shirts!

Not only do I crop off my bottom half sometimes I have learnt to photoshop away things like hips and thighs as well as wrinkles and dare I say it muffin tops.

Of course I also subscribe to the strategic placing of a child in front of me.

I'm also going to pipe up on the shoe and croc pant issue. I own some sketchers zigzag velcro closure shoes that are part running shoe and part ballerina flat. I find they work well when a sneaker is not dressy enough. I practically live in my sketchers at school. Especially if I am supply teaching because you never know what you'll end up doing that day. It might be gym so you need to be ready to be active.

I do the child placement during family trips...I don't think Stacy is going to be willing to stand in front of me for this trip

Thanks for the shoe advice. I doe enjoy a good ballerina flat. I might have to go try some on....Guess I'm spending my Christmas money from Gramma on new Disney shoes

Sorry that I've been MIA. We were caught in the ice storm that hit NE last Thursday night. We lost power/heat for 2 days but we are back up and running...and able to use the internet

I'm glad that all is well up your way We had ice... not as bad as we've had in the past...but it was enough to knock a tree down and it land on my car last week!! Fortunately we didn't lose power/heat though!! That's the worst!

We are good. Lots of our family/friends are still without power. It's a nightmare. We got a small snowstorm today and have a big one coming in on Friday and another one due Sunday (LL- you obviously know this!). I blame DD. She was concerned that the reindeer would "hurt their paws on the roof" if there wasn't snow to cushion the blow. She jinxed us!

I am in absolute panic mode about Friday & Sunday. I hate snow. I need to move. I convinced my boss to let me come in early on Friday, so I can leave a bit earlier. They are so not understanding when you can't make it in due to weather.

That's how it is where I work. Granted, I'm not a state employee but last year when they were sending people home and urging companies to send workers home, they still didn't.
