Hi
As we will be staying at AKL this coming jan 2010 I was wondering for those of you who have tried sanaa at AKL ( kidanni ) how was it ??
Anything like boma ( don't flame me but me & dh son't really like Boma's I think it has to do with the spices / african flavors ) ..
Is sannaa like it for instance the salmon is it spicy ??
How about desserts ( I am a dessert girl lol...)
any info's would be great thank you

I haven't eaten at Boma (yet) so I can't compare, but we LOVED Sanaa. We were there in May and the food was amazing. Highly recommend the short ribs. It was easily one of the best meals of the trip. For dessert we had the egg-less chocolate cake and it was wonderful. There is a more detailed review in my dining report if you like. Have a great trip!

Hi
I just read your dinner / report of sanaa and thank you !!

Ok, well I'm the minority here...we ate at Sanaa just two weeks ago, for lunch, and found it to be just "ok" at best.
In fact, we found Kidani, overall, just "ok".

Sanaa is our new favorite WDW restaurant. It is not at all like Boma. The flavors are primarily Indian, rather than the African flavors you get at Boma. The food does tend to be a tad spicy, but I'm sure your server can help with suggestions on the less spicy items.

Definitely give it a try!

We had a wonderful dinner at Sanaa last Monday. The food was very good. Our server went over the menu in great detail and gave very good advice.

The restaurant is so beautiful! Ask for a seat near the windows if possible.

We've eaten at about 75% of the sit down places at WDW and Sanaa is up at the top of our list.

Well, lunch probably would just be ok, as the menu is very basic with only a couple nice items. Other than that basic sandwich/burger is what they serve during the day.

We found the entire resort lovely. And dinner was one of the best things during that trip. We can't wait to go back. The food has wonderful flavor profiles and the wine list is wonderful. Most things are not spice at all, but they can make it spicey if you want.

We had dinner at Sanaa on Sat, 10/3. It was pretty good, but did not blow me away. I will definitely go back in the future, but it did not make my "top 5" list. I can't compare it to Boma (as I have only been there once and it was several years ago), but Jiko is much better.
