I love love love Sangria, but have never attempted to make it myself.

Anyone have a good recipe? I'd like to try!

TIA :wave2: Have a GREAT weekend!

I make Sangrias all of the time. www.paellapans.com has some good recipes. I pour some of this and some of that so it's hard for me to actually write down an accurate recipe :)

I have always read about Sangria at Hoop Dee Doo but I have to be honest....I'm stupid, what is it? What does it taste like?

Ohhh, they have it at HDDR? Another reason to try that!

Anyway, its a wine-ish drink with a mix of ingredients, but also has fresh fruit cut up in it, which adds awesome flavor.

So its fruity? Is it strong like say an Ameretto Sour? If it is I may have to change to HDDR myself...LOL!

It's wine, sugar, fresh fruit, and either rum or vodka- depending on which you prefer

Mmmmm I made some last weekend. And yes I am another one who throws in a little bit of this and that. The last batch I used Wine (duh), pineapple juice, sugar, cinnamon, sliced orange, sliced peach, sliced apple and sliced grapes. YUMMY. Oh and I think it is better if it sits 24 hours before drinking.

Where is this place you speak of, and do they serve alcohol?? :drinking1

That sounds similar to the one I made last. Although I used pineapple rum and mango instead of oranges :)

Its Hoop De Doo Review at Fort Wilderness. From Deb's sight it says you get all the soft drinks and Sangria that you can drink.

I saw a recipe on foodnetwork for a white wine sangria with peaches. I've been thinking of trying this since it's summer. It just sounded so light.

the mango went really well with the granny smith apples.
Now I want some more :goodvibes

Ok, so Sangria is not a country. Hold on, let me write that down. Alright, got it. :teeth:

Is that similar to a convention?? Lots of drinking at conventions. :drinking1

If you're lazy like me you can just buy it by the bottle at any liquor store. I like Cruz-Real brand (comes in kind of a triangular bottle), and Yago is my second choice.

Williams-Sonoma stores sell bottles of sangria mix. You just add wine and some fruit. It comes in white and red. We liked the white better, for what it's worth.

I don't know if regular Sangria tastes like this but this stuff makes me want to vomit. :crazy2:
