Sanford to MCO

Has anyone ever flown into Sanford and paid for a shuttle to get to MCO to use ME? Does it cost the same to just shuttle right to WDW? Our local airport has direct flights on Allegiant but they only fly into Sanford.

I have flown into Sanford and rented a car. I love that aiport. By the time we got off the plane pur luggage was already going around the luggage rack.

Also no need to get there 2 hours early. We did and there was almost noone there. Could of got there an hour before hand and still made it through with plenty of time to spare.

Towncars from there run @ $200 r/t if I remember correctly which is why we rented a car and brought our own GPS which we plugged in a POI from mousesavers.

I also fly allegiant sometimes into Sanford out of NE Indiana (FW) and you can rent a car through dollar for the arrival day and then return it to the regal sun resort ( on property) for around $25 then do the same for the return back to the airport.

This way you can stop at the store since you have a car on your arrival day and get anything you need snack wise

Be cautious on the 1 hour prior to flight. 18 months ago I flew allegiant into Sanford and if you have checked bags they state they need to be in their hands an hour before flight time. I was running close to the wire and got there and had about 20 people in line in front of me to check in. I panicked and got out of line and a desk agent on break just standing there took mercy upon me and checked me in and got my bags on.

I would either rent a car or hire a town car all the way to your resort. Taking a town car or taxi to MCO would cost about the same and take a lot more time.
