sanford airport

We are flying into sanford airport instead of orlando international. Our trip is 12/1 to 12/8. Does anyone have personal experience (positive or negative)-with a car service. Who would you recommend for car service (pick-up,not rental) All info seems geared towards arrivals at orlando international magic express does not go to sanford.

Flying into Sanford is quite a different experience when it comes to ground transportation than at Orlando International Airport. First off the shuttles are not a deal. Most of them take forever to get to WDW.

The taxi service is Mears but they are on a meter. Taxi service usually runs more than if you had set up a car service. On the website provided above are the companies that are permitted to pick up in Sanford. Most of them will give you a pretty good deal.

Just keep in mind Sanford is twice as far from WDW as Orlando so the prices are about double. Ground transportation is not cheap. It should run you around $200.00. That is the average rate. There are companies that charge more and companies that charge less.

We flew into Sanford in April this year. We went with TiffanyTown Car. The driver was waiting on us, we stopped for groceries, and then onto the resort. He was very friendly and talked the whole way. It was a very good experience. It cost around 200 dollars with tip. For that , we could have rented a car, but we wanted a little pampering. It was nice not to worry about directions! Good luck!

Thanks to all of you. I think we will go with a car pick up for the pampering. The airport may be twice as far from disney but the one we're flying from is so much more conveient and we got really great rates on allegiant air.

We used Transportation Florida (Sunrise FL) when we flew into Sanford this past Dec. They were great and the price was $180 plus tip. We had a 15 passenger van for our group and the driver was waiting on us and was very pleasant and helpful.
