I need some help for my friend. Her dh's family has made all the plans for the upcoming trip. They called today and said they would be flying into sanford airport, not mco. How far away is it? and how will the 10 of them get to the hotel? they are staying at cb.
any help will be appreciated!
thanks very much

Orlando Sanford International Airport is around 45 miles northeast of CBR.

In comparison, Orlando International Airport is only around 19 miles northeast of CBR.

Disney's free Magical Express service is not an option from Orlando Sanford.

I would think they would look for a van service from one of the limo/towncar/van companies in the Orlando area. They should expect to pay substantially more than for similar service from Orlando International.

I hope they saved enough on the airfare to make up for the inconvenience and expense of ground transportation from Sanford.

We are renting a van for one day from Alamo and returning it the next day at the Dolphin. Total cost is $38.

Absolutely the best idea. Then, rent one for the trip back. Much cheaper than what a towncar service would charge you. Back in '01, we had 6 people traveling. We needed a van, so booked one with Tiffany Towncar....just didn't want the hassle of driving. They showed up in a stretch limo!! Very cool. It was the same price the van would have been...about $200 r/t, without tip.

Yes, with a family of 5 it was the best way to go. We'll pick up another car later in our trip to go to Cocoa Beach.
