WE are thinking about flying into Sanford Airport on our next trip to WDW. I am just trying to find some Info On Sanford, never been there before. Does ME pick up there or Mears? What would be the cheapest way to get to WDW. Allegaint Air just opend up a route from Spfd Mo to Orlando. Or should I just fly SW From KC to Orlando and land at MCO? Just trying to compare rates on ground transfer. Going in March. No reservation made yet.... Also has anyone been on Allegaint Air? THANKS...

Towncar service from Sanfors is roughly double the price from MCO....which makes it a pretty hefty transfer. As far as I know there are not Mears type bus services from there but others may have more recent info. We flew into there once and rented a car....it was a nice little airport and a breeze to get in and out of with a rental.

Probably the most economical way to get to WDW if you have 2 or more people would be to rent a car....either for the length of your stay, or if you do not want a car to use during your WDW trip you could just do a 1 day, 1 way rental from either ALAmo or National and then drop the car off after you check in at WDW at either the Dolphin hotel or the Car Care Center (you can hop a bus to the parks from the Dolphin or they have a shuttle from the car care center that will take you back to your hotel)

Either way you will incur some additional expense that would have to be weighed against the cost of flying into MCO directly and taking the DME for free.

Sanford is a very easy airport to navigate around, but, ground transport services will be more expensive to Disney as Sanford is farther away.

Is renting a car an option for you?

If so, go ahead and fly into Sanford.

Limos will run about $200 or so, there is a shuttle service run by coach usa but I don't know much about it.

MCO has Magical Express so you could get to to Disney for free, so what you may save flying into Sanford, you may spend in shuttle costs.
