sanford airport need info

We are flying in from Syracuse to Sanford Airport and renting a Hertz car. Does anyone know about Sanford? Is the Hertz counter and the car on site or will we be shuttled somewhere? How long does car pickup take at Sanford? (I remember in '99 our car pickup at MCO took longer than the flight!) How long is the drive to WDW? Transmeridian now flys nonstop from Syracuse to Orlando and they don't advertise that it's to Sanford, not MCO. I actually found out after I booked...but given it's one of the only nonstops from here, we can deal with it!

Dollar, Alamo and Avis are onsite as well. Sanford airport is easy to use and it takes about 50 minutes to get to WDW. Nobody has posted that they have had delays in car pickup at Sanford.

You can either take SR417 (Central Florida Greeneway) around Orlando, (if you arrive during rush hour), or I-4 to WDW.

You are better off avoiding I-4 at any time of day. The smallest thing (road construction, fender bender, rain, etc) will stop traffic dead in its tracks on that road.

Take 417. There are written directions from Sanford airport to each WDW resort on Deb's site.
