Anyone used the Sandcastle Club for their kids recently? I am staying at Poly but would like to eat at the Yachtsman Steakhouse and might feel better if the kids were closer to me. I've heard excellent things about Neverland Club so maybe I'm better off leaving them there? Can't decide.

If you are staying at the Poly, but eating at the Yacht, then you'd save money by booking the Sandcastle because you will not pay for them while you are in transit to/from Yacht. Probably save yourself and hour or two in fees if that's a concern.

Neverland is very good. I dumped my kids there 4 times in 10 days because I'm that kind of mom. And the fact that they begged and begged to back there the minute I picked them up every time. Regretably I have no Sandcastle experience, but I'm sure its fab.

We just had our girls in the Neverland Club last night and they absolutely loved it. You get a beeper and they take a cell phone number so they can reach you. Our 5 year old has been asking us all day to ask any CM we see if the Neverland Club is open during the day too, and our 9 year old stopped watching High School Musical II (which was one last night) because she wanted to do activities. Neither of them wanted to leave when we came to pick them up. We've never done Sandcastle Club, but can highly recommend the Neverland Club.

The Neverland Club would get my vote. The themeing is great. Kids wanted to go back every night.

Neverland Club!! Our DDs and DS count that as one of their favorite parts of their trips. Even my 11yo loved it and cant wait to go back this October.

My friend and I dropped our kids at the Neverland Club. I was really surprised but my DD 9 talked about it the rest of the trip. She kept asking if she was going to go back to the club, she loved it.

My boys LOVE the Sandcastle Club, and ask to go there every trip we make. When they found out our next trip was to SSR they asked if the "adults" could do dinner at the Yachtsman so they could go to the club! I would feel better knowing that they were close by if anything happened, especially if you are using Disney transportation to get around.

Thnkas to everyone who has posted about Neverland. We are going in January for a week, and I know we will need some time away from each other! It looks like so much fun and my kids will absolutely love it, especially the arts and crafts.

Hmm, now I'm tempted to bring DD to the Sandcastle club when we eat in Le Cellier the first night of our trip. She didn't exactly behave so well when we were there in August.

How far ahead do you have to make reservations and what if you want to cancel them?

My boys have done both and liked both. I would do Sandcastle if it were me just to have them close by. But either way you can't really go wrong. ;)

We're planning a trip to AKL next September. Anyone have any feedback on Simba's Clubhouse? Seems like lots of praise for the Neverland Club, any comparisons?

Also in every reply the family/families dropped off more than one kid, ie. they already knew someone there. Anyone drop off just one child? My nephew will be 6, just a few weeks from 7.

I'm not a big fan of dropping him off. I don't live local so I like to spend as much time with him as possible. However, if its something he'll really like I'm all for him having a great time and hearing him tell me all about it later!

Thanks for letting me hijack and for reading/responding!

My boys LOVED the Cubs Den. :) We literally had to drag them out when we came back to pick them up. :lmao: And then for the rest of our stay at AKL they begged to go back every night.

Hi everyone! We are leaving in 12 days for our trip of a lifetime...:yay:

I want to use the Neverland Club while we are there for 10 days. How far in advance do I NEED to make ressies for three children? Do you know the limit for kids they can take?

Thanks!

Septbaby – last year “06” we took our then DD6 (only child) to the Neverland Club one evening and when she knew we were coming back this year she repeatedly requested to go back to Neverland Clud.

I’d admit I felt a little guilty leaving her behind as an only child but in hindsight it worked out great because it gave her a chance to play with other children her age, therefore giving her a break from the grown-ups. Just what we both needed.

The Neverland Club is the largest of all the kids clubs....

My DD5 has tried them all.....and loves them all.

She is an only child has no problem going in....

I would choose Sandcastle...OP...just to have them close by.
You can't go wrong in any of them though

I don't have any advice, but please pop back in and share your impressions when you return! We're debating between the Sandcastle Club or the Cubs Den, because we're staying at WL but having dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse and going to Epcot EMH on our adult night out.

Thank you so much for saying this! We are taking our 4.5 yr old there in Nov while we go eat at Le Cellier, then enjoy some adult time at Epcot. He is an only child, so I think he needs that interaction with kids too. They only thing I am worried about is that he want to go back the next night when we eat at Kona!

We go to WDW at least 1 week each year and my son (who will be 8) this year always spends at least 2 nights at the Neverland Club. He really loves it. Last year we stayed at Wilderness Lodge and he went to the Cubs Den 2 times also, but that was out of convenience for us. When I asked him if he had a preference he strongly wanted the Neverland Club. We have never been to the Sandcastle Club but I have a feeling that with the way the Neverland Club is set up, its better.
