Still looking for that first day lunch spot. Anyone ever have lunch at this Bonnett Creek Golf Club location?? The menu seems to have the burgers, etc we'd be looking for. I assume it's open to non-golfers(?)

I've had lunch there although not for a couple of years. I enjoyed it very much. Good sandwichs, good prices and a very peaceful, pretty setting. You don't have to be a golfer. My DH and sons who are golfers have also had breakfast there and enjoyed that too.

Thanks BCV 23. This is a table service spot and not "self service" or some sort of counter service restaurant??

Anyone else??

Yes, it's a table service restaurant. I believe we had a round table which I love. It's like being in a nice country club dining room with one wall of windows looking out on the course. Very low key and friendly.

I do know that my husband has also ordered carry out breakfast for one son.

I ate there a couple weeks ago, and it seems to be a typical country club restaurant. Well prepared sandwiches. Pretty standard, predictable food. You can eat inside or out on a balcony that over-looks the 18th holes of both courses. There's a big glass wall separating the inside from the balcony, so you get your view even if you're inside. This also keeps the place bright (if your looking for a dark, moody, romantic place, this isn't it).

When I ate there, there were only two other people in the place at about 12:00 noon, so it's relatively quiet, except for the TVs over the bar.

You can also get your beer "to-go" ;)

Thanks again guys!!
Sounds like just what we're after--plus it'll be a "new" spot for us.

Wonder if the crowds are that low all the time?? Guess not, as it would be hard to stay in business.

I remember it being perhaps half to 2/3 full when we were there. I imagine it varies a lot depending on the whims of that day's golfers. Have fun.

I don't know how to do a link for you but it is on Deb's site. It's under "Other Orlando Locations" which is almost at the end of the menu page.

A "new" spot??? I've relied on you expertise on so many restaurants that I didn't think there were any places left that you haven't tried LOL.

We'll be anxiously waiting for your report.

Oh--there are a few places we haven't been (but not many!)
Shutters. And Cap'n Jacks. And the ESPN Club.
We've decided on the Sand Trap, so I'll report when we get back. It is out of the way, so probably why so few posts about it.

We have lunch here after we play golf at Eagle Pines or Osprey Ridge and always enjoy it. The first time we ate there we commented to the waitress about how good it was and how non-Dismey the prices were. She told us this was the most popular spot for Disney execs to eat and thats why prices were so good!
We've since noticed there is always a good number of "business looking types" as well as the expected golfers. My DH really enjoys the Monte Christo sandwich and the variety of beers on the menu.

We discovered this place a few years ago and now eat there at least once every trip.

It's just so quiet and peaceful - a great break from the parks and resorts!

The only problem we've ever had was, on one or two occasions, the dining room was closed for a "special event" - normally a tournament of some type.

Their sandwiches are great - and they normally have a special or two. My husband normally gets a ceasar salad - and I go for a chicken sandwich. They also have a reuben, if I remember correctly - and offer fresh fruit in place of fries, if you prefer. There's also a barbeque sandwich with a citrus-y sauce, if I remember correctly.

They have great "onion straws" that they bring out in a small driving range bucket. They're very good!

I can't recommend this place enough....
