I’m looking for any and all info on dinner at Sanaa. My plans have changed a bit and honestly, I’m running away from home for Thanksgiving (Our actual trip starts the 25). Thanksgiving was always a day that was all about me and my grandma cooking and spending the morning together before the rest of the family arrived. She has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, short of a miracle she will not be here thanksgiving, and honestly, I just don’t want to be in town. All of that to say we are skipping out a few days early and will be staying off site for 2 days prior to our trip and the hotel is close to AKL. (Also since this is Dis and the question will probably get asked my family works retial so we are doing our family dinner the Saturday before thanksgiving now) I wanted to do something different and Sanaa is all new so could you tell me a little bit about what you like and don’t like must do’s etc. I was looking at the duck as that sounds good but my cousin that will travel with me is having a hard time finding something that jumps out. We’ve found conflicting menus. If the one on the Disney website is correct she has found a few things as well. Thanks in advance!!!

Do y'all like Indian food? It's very Indian influenced... which is a favorite of mine so I loved it. That said, like any WDW restaurant, it's incredibly overpriced. It was hard to stomach those prices when I could get nearly the same dish back home for 75% cheaper ;)

As for accuracy, I usually rely on AllEarsNet but know that the restaurants often change menus seasonally and I haven't been there recently enough to say which is more accurate. Butter chicken is a great, entry level Indian dish that most people love - you may want to suggest that to your cousin. It's what I always use to introduce people to Indian cuisine ;)

I'm so sorry about your Grandma.

The bread service is so very good and could be a meal in itself. The butter chicken is very good. My grandson had the beef and loved it. The wine is also good:) Hope you enjoy!
I'm sorry about your grandma.

We love the Naan bread at Sanaa. So good. I got that and the tandoori chicken. I honestly don't remember much specific about the chicken, I enjoyed it, but the bread was really the star of the show.

So sorry to hear about your grandmother :surfweb::hug:

The butter chicken is amazing, getting hungry just thinking about it. My husband not a spicy food fan and loves it. Tandoori anything very good and flavorful.

Don't be shy about talking to your server. They have helped many of us go through the menu and decide what things each of us would and would not like. They can also tweak certain dishes to particular tastes which helps a lot for picky eaters. We weren't sure what to order the first time, but took the advice of our server and weren't disappointed.

Sanaa is a great experience! Delicious food (the mango lassi is soooooo good!) amazing atmosphere and you get to watch the animals on the savanna. Pre-meal or post meal you can go out to the savanna lookout and watch the animals or sit in the chairs around the pit fire. Very relaxing and should help take your mind away from your troubles.

Thank you all! She's a pretty special lady and I know later on I will honor her this year I just don't think I can do that a second it will be too soon.

I will pass that on about the butter chicken. We are at Boma for breakfast or last trip and wanted to try something new.
