We will be having dinner at Sanaa and I was curious to know if you can still see the animals as it will be dark?

Do they light up the area so they are still visible?

Many thanks :goodvibes

There isn't artificial light on the savanna. That would be disruptive to the animals. The Animal Kingdom Lodge does have a special program where you can view the savanna through night vision binoculars, but they're not available in the restaurant.

You can't see them once the sun goes down because there isn't any light on the savanna and the windows reflect inward. The only animals you'll be able to see are the two-legged kind that are dining in the restaurant.

Thanks everyone.

I have changed my reservation to lunch instead! :goodvibes

Both times we have dined after dark. We go for the food, not the view out of the windows.

I am going for the food and the view out of the windows. :thumbsup2

Then, you should be aware that not all tables have a view out the windows. You can try and request one.

I love Sanaa, whether I can see animals or not.

I'm glad you asked. I was wondering the same thing for our trip coming up in January. Thanks.:)

Food is good and worth the trip. Enjoy your meal then visit the animals after dinner. Enjoy your trip.:cool1:

I've only been to Sanaa once, when it was dark, so my table near the windows was not a factor for me. But I really did enjoy the food and would go back.
