Sanaa or Boma

We're staying at AKL, and have never been to either restaurant. We'd love to go to both, but if you had to pick one for kids, which is the better option? My oldest kid (10) will eat almost anything, while the younger (8) is more picky and will sometimes like things if you can even get her to try them. Now that my oldest is 10, I hate paying the adult price for her at buffets, but maybe she will enjoy the variety.

For the kids, Boma, as it has lots of picky eater friendly foods. But Sanaa is a much better restaurant. Check Sanaa’s menu.

I love Saana. The last time we went my daughter was on a only-pizza kick... or nothing. Saana made her a beautiful pizza on Naan bread and went way beyond anything I imagined. They didn't have to do that, but did it anyway.

Sanaa. My daughter likes going there. We took our niece (she was 8 at the time) and she really liked it. I think she ordered a pizza off the children's menu. We got a table by the window so they could look at the animals while they ate. For dessert they "painted" cookies. My niece absolutley loved that!

So my daughter is a picky eater and likes Sanaa over Boma. In fact she didn't like Boma at all and doesn't want to eat there again. I would go with Sanna!

Boma for breakfast, Sana’a for lunch or dinner. I found Boma to be a zoo at dinner, I guess that’s par for a buffet though acoustics may be a factor too. Sana’a is more relaxing.

We love them both and try to go to one of them at least every trip. I would say with kids you are better off at Boma if one of them is a picky eater. We are in the same boat now with our 10 yo and having to pay the adult price at a buffet for them is no fun but at least they would get to try anything there and experience different foods.

Sana’a has Better food, better service, better atmosphere, 1/2 the price. Animals outside the windows.

My picky one fills up on Naan and dessert, but they also have some of the standard Disney kid choices.

We like Sanaa but we absolutely love Boma. The only buffet at WDW that we never miss. We'll even pay OOP for the ridiculous prices Disney charges.

We like both.
Boma for breakfast. IF you have picky eaters, there are many options from routine to adventurous. Can be very noisy when busy (which is about anytime they are open).
Sanaa is a step up in food, if you enjoy Indian influenced food . Good for lunch and dinner. The bread service is amazing. Much quieter

Wow- tough choice. At Boma, you will pay premium prices for chicken fingers, fries, and cookies since it's a buffet. Also, there isn't a great view. At Sanaa you can order a la carte and view the animals grazing in the Savannah. Based on your picky eater, I'd choose Sanaa.

Been to both recently I can't say enough good things about Sanaa because it is not only good, have great options, but it's more Disney reasonable price for what you get. And yes it has a great view and legendary bread service! Last time I took friends there and all of them came back home from Disney raving about the flavorful food and service being something they couldn't believe they would get at a Disney resort.

I do like Boma and it would outrank compare to other sit down restaurants in Disney. It does have some very unique items on the buffet but it's too easy to go back to standards buffet fair.

If I was choosing I would show my party the Sanaa menu and if you see something you mildly like go with Sanaa. Otherwise Boma is still awesome. I don't think you will go wrong with either.

Lots of people are saying Sanaa. We did not make time to try Sanaa (mom is not into “ethnic” spices) but we had Boma for breakfast and dinner and it was our favorite restaurant of the trip. We have completely opposite tastes so that is saying something. So if Sanaa is as good or better you definitely cannot go wrong with either!

Always Sanaa. We've eaten at both...with the kids...and they would agree. They will cater to picky eaters as well. My friend (an adult) wanted to try and not be so picky, but she just didn't like what she ordered, so they brought her a very generic cheeseburger and fries. She didn't want to make them go to the trouble, but they insisted. So, even if you have someone without an adventurous dining style, they will make it work. And for those that are more willing to try things beyond the basics, we've found Sanaa's food quality to be significantly better than what we've had at Boma.

I would do Boma since the variety might be better for trying new things. Also we were at Sana’a a few weeks ago for breakfast and couldn’t see the savanna at all. They had walls blocking the view for outside refurbs. Not sure when you’re planning on goinv
