I asked this on the restaurant board without any responses, so I thought I would try here.

Does anyone know if they have the bread service everyone raves about at Sanaa in the concierge lounge? I would love to try it!

I doubt it, as concierge receives their services from the restaurants in Jambo House, and Sanaa is located in Kidani.

We did find some good Naan breads that we can heat at home at Whole Foods. :) Now all we need are those wonderful spreads.

I agree with Chuck.

The last time we stayed in club at Jambo was a year ago this month so that was before Kidani opened I think, right? They did serve hummus as well as chips and bread to go with it. But I think the great thing about the breads from Sanaa is that they are freshly made at the restaurant.

AKL Concierge evening snacks are now very limited. It will be the same thing every evening- cubed cheese and bleu cheese, celery, carrots, and olives, crackers and a baked "chip" with three different hummus dips, uncrustables, and two different small hot appetizers. No more soup. No more skewered shrimp. There will be a choice of red and white wine, beer, soda, juice, and milks. I've never seen breads from either of the restaurants in Jambo house even back in the good 'ole days of concierge. Evening desserts are cookies, small brownies, and tiny tarts, if you are lucky to get there before they're gone. I'd book a meal at Sanaa if you want to try something from their menu. Besides a great menu the viewing from the restaurant is amazing and very relaxing and the decor is beautiful. It's worth a trip.---Kathy

Thanks for the replies. I figured I wouldn't get so lucky. Actually after much thought, we have decided to try Sanaa. I'm not super excited about it since we didn't really like Boma (sorry), but I wanted to have a relaxing night at the resort and since we are doing the DDP, we will have a TS credit to use. I hear you can get some more "plain" type foods, so that makes me feel better. But I really want to try the bread. Everyone keeps talking about how good it is. I was just trying to avoid paying OOP for it. Call me cheap!

Oh, BTW, are there really no Zebra Domes in the lounge??? I was really looking forward to those!:sad2:

Sanaa is better than Boma, we also do not care for Boma, but we like Sanaa.

We also liked Sanaa better than Boma, and we liked Boma before trying Sanaa. However, Boma has been crossed off our must-do list and repaced with Sanaa.

Zebra domes can be found in the refrigerated section of Mara. You don't need to go to Boma to get them.
