San Juan - Hotel and Transfers to Port?

Hi everyone!

We are booked for the Southern Caribbean cruise next January, heading out of San Juan.

1) I am wondering if anyone has hotel recommendations for San Juan. We would likely arrive on the Friday and depart on the Sunday, and would like a hotel with great pools, maybe a beach, and very kid friendly. My kids love water slides and swimming!

2) Does DCL offer hotel transfers to port from any particular hotels? And from the cruise back to the airport? What about hotel transfers from the airport?

We have ours this week. They booked us at the Marriott Stellaris Resort. I am sure there are less expensive options, but we wanted to let Disney be responsible. They will be transferring us from the Airport to the Hotel. Then from Hotel to Ship.

We just left San Juan. Disney does offer transfers to the airport post-cruise. It was $20 per person. They had other buses there for non-Disney transfers, though that line was very long. They also had a long line of cabs ready to go. I didn't do a hotel there, but they did partner with one hotel for transfers. Sorry, can't remember which one it was. However, it seems pretty easy to get around San Juan, so stay where you want and you can get Uber or taxi.

I think the Stellaris has fun waterplay options from what I’ve read post hurricane (they have a day pass that people were using for pool etc).

Cabs are on a zone basis. They will be so much less expensive than an official transfer.

San Juan seems scary to plan for but it’s actually really easy.

Cruise to airport should be about $25 plus $1 per bag. Come out of the terminal and get into a line for the line of taxis waiting.
