Can you tell me where you stayed? If you'd go again? I am looking at staying for a couple of days when our cruise is over to "unwind". Any decent cheap hotels/resorts near or on the beach?

TIA :hyper:

We stayed at the Marriott in San Juan which was comfortable and a typical Marriott. It was fine actually, and visited another really nice hotel. It was definately a step up from the Marriott. I am thinking it was the El San Juan but I can't be sure. I really like San Juan. I like the people, I love Old San Juan, the beaches are beautiful. I love El Morro, the fortress, El Yunque, the rain forrest, the food, the beaches. Its a great place to go in the Caribbean. One fault however is apparent in Puerto Rico. It is the dirtiest, most littered of all of the Caribbean Islands that we have been to. It really is noticible and mars the scenery.

:sail: We've stayed at the Wyndham Old San Juan a few times. I think it recently changed hands and is no longer a Wyndham property. It is walking distance from the pier ( unless you are sailing on the adventure, which docks at the pan american pier. It is a great location- there are wonderful restaraunts nearby. Some favorites are La Mallorquina, the Parrot Club, Dragonfly, and La Bombanera. The Condado district is a short taxi ride from Old San Juan, but has some nice hotels as well, and there are greatr restaraunts there, Aijili Mojili and Ropa Viejo are great :) Happy sails
