I am heading to San Francisco for a few days in April for a convention. I want to do some sightseeing solo, but only have limited time. I've done Alcatraz, Explorium (I think that is what it is called), Pier 39. Seeking recommendations for other sights to see solo. Thanks in advance.

Farmers market at the Ferry Building and the Ferry Building itself is a fun thing to do.

Baseball game at AT&T park.

Get a Muni pass and take the Muni subway to different parts of town. You can get close enough to Golden Gate Park to walk to the museums.

A stroll through North Beach for a fantastic cup of coffee at Cafe Puccini, a visit to City Lights Bookstore, sort of the shrine to the Beat generation, a slice of pizza from Golden Boys Pizza. For a little cardio, a hike up to Coit Tower.

Irish coffee at Buena Vista at the cable car terminus on Hyde.

Being solo, getting a seat at the counter at Tadich grill will be easy enough. If the petrale sole is fresh go for it.

For a little funk, Swan Oyster Depot.

Breakfast at Sears Fine Foods.

Don't forget the Walt Disney Family Museum!
Golden Gate park has a lot to do - -the Japanese gardens, a nice arboretum ( take a docent tour - much more interesting that way ) - the De Young museum. Also there is MOMA in the South of Market area - and a cool if smal Cartoon Art Museum.

Don't know if many know about this but we Northern Californians love it. The Walt Disney Family Museum was built by Diane Disney Miller, Walt's daughter and it is a tribute to her father. It is unbelievable, we adore it. Much more for adults than kids. It is the story of Walts life and it is in the San Francisco Presidio, beautiful location and free parking. George Lucas studios are nearby too I think. The museum has a small theater too, like a screening room. You must "google" it and check it out. DO NOT MISS THIS IF YOU COME TO SAN FRANCISCO, and spread the word, it opened just a couple of years ago.

I had forgotten I posted this here. Thanks for the suggestions; they are exactly what I was looking for!!
