san francisco and Lake Tahoe budget Ideas??

Last minute, but I am heading to San Francisco tomorrow. I've never been to California before and am really looking forward to it. We will be spending 2 days in San Francisco, and 2 days in Lake Tahoe. Its a short trip for a friends wedding, but I'd like to make the most of it!

What are some must sees that are on the budget side?? Fishermans Wharf, Mount Diablo.. what else? Anything in Lake Tahoe? I'm clueless so any ideas are welcome! Thanks!
