How much time is needed for the zoo? Is it an all day zoo like Toronto zoo?

It is definitely an all-day zoo!

If you're pressed for time, you can certainly make that work, by just seeing the headliners & other animals of interest to you, but it is large and well done throughout. My DBF and I visit a few times a year (we work at the LA Zoo, so we get in free!) and still spend a full day, never getting bored.

Keep in mind the hours are different throughout the year (SD Zoo hours), so plan accordingly.

We tend to take two days to see the zoo. It's definitely a full day or more!

We usually are done the zoo in 4-5 hours. However we can spend from open to close at SeaWorld.
