San Diego to DL via Train?

Hi,

I will be attending a conference in San Diego next year and we are looking at taking three days and going to Disneyland.

Has anyone used Amtrack to travel from San Diego to DL? Where is the station and is it far from DL?

We took the train from Anaheim to San Diego and back a few years ago. It was a pleasant trip. The station in Anaheim is in the parking lot of Edison Field, really pretty close to Disneyland.

Be aware that it would probably be faster and no more expensive to rent a car and drive, but if you're doing it just for the experience, go for it!

We also did it a few years ago and it was fun. We never rent a car to save $, and it was an easy way to get two cities in one trip. We took a taxi to the Anahiem station, then called for a free hotel shuttle when we got to SD.
