San Diego - Shelter Island Hotels

Wasn't really sure where to post this, but thought I would try. We are heading to San Diego before we go to DL and want to stay on Shelter Island...Anyone stay at either the Island Palms Hotel and Marina or the Bay Club Hotel and Marina?? We are stuck between the two!!
