Hi all

I'm going to a conference in San Diego on about a month. The conference is being held at the "Town and Country Resort Hotel". Just wondering if anyone has any experiences with this place and if you'd recommend staying there or any other hotels in the area you'd prefer over it. I don't WANT to rent a car if I can help it so I'd like to stay here or somewhere within walking distance.

The hotel is in the hotel circle area, and should be serviced by a MTS bus that connects to the Old Town transit center where you can catch a trolley to Fashion Valley mall or head into downtown San Diego. Not too sure there is a bus from the airport to hotel circle, but the 992 bus goes from the airport to Americas Plaza where you can catch a trolley to Old Town and connect to the hotel circle bus. A day pass that covers all the buses and trolleys is $5.00 a day.

Thanks for the transportation info! I'd love to check out the downtown area so I'm glad it'll be accessible.

Any opinion on the hotel?

I've never stayed at the hotel but have been there for conferences. It is a nice central location, walking distance to Fashion Valley Mall (a great mall if you like to shop like me!). The mall also has a trolley transit center where you could easily take the trolley downtown or to old town.

I've stayed there and it was fine. Good location. Rooms were fine. Pool wasn't crowded at all.

Never mind - your conference is over. :)
