We are planning on eating here and we won't be on the dining plan so it would be so very nice to get a good table where we could see the ride by the river, this will be our only spurge this trip.

My question is how far in advance can I book this reservations and can I request a table by the river so we can see, it's alot of money to spend just to look around at other tables.

Another problem is we have only 4 people in our party and I heard you have to have a party of 6 to eat by the river? One is also in a wheelchair so I was hoping this time we wouldn't be shoved at the entrance, the wheelchair is small and could almost be considered a stroller.

Is there a way I can make this request? TIA

I'd be interested to know myself. I have heard the opposite of what you were told about the table settings. I was told only parties of 4 or less could be seated by the water (we have a party of 10 including children so I think a water view is out for us)... Good luck to you, I hope you can get what you want!

Thank you jlynne, well I was reading on allears and a man was giving his review and said he wanted to be seated by the river and couldn't because he was a party of four so that's basically what I'm going by.:listen:

Anyone know for sure?

We ate there last week with a party of 9. We ended up being seated at two tables (which was great...the four adults at one table, the five teen/young adults at the other) and both tables were just one spot away from the railing. We didn't ask for that, or request it...we were just given it.

Honestly, there is so much atmosphere in there that being seated right at the rail on the river isn't really necessary to enjoy the restaurant. We spent almost two hours there...from 4pm to 6pm...and actually FORGOT that it would be daylight when we exited. It was a great place!

We have been seated riverside with a party of four at least once. I agree, that even if you are further back, its still a great atmsophere. We have also been the furthest table back, and still had a nice view of the river, the volcano and had a great time!

If you really want to be near the river, check in early and tell them you are willing to wait for a bit. That might help get you at least a little closer. There is a gift shop area you can browse around in while you wait.

I'll add my 2 cents here too... As everyone else said - not a bad seat in the place really. The atmosphere is just great & where ever we've been seated could see. It is one of our favorite restaurants.

Hi! We've been a party of 2 and a party of 4 and have been seated along the river. I think if you check in before your ADR time, then you should have no trouble requesting a table by the river. The CM's are ususally very accomodating to requests.

If you get one of the first ADR's for the seating, then you should truly have no trouble getting a riverside seat.

Have fun! We have always enjoyed the atmosphere at San Angel :thumbsup2

Hey Teri - we ate by the river a couple of years ago with a party of 4. I know San Angel gets bad reviews but we love it. It's the only ADR we made for November - but only because I couldn't get LeCellier too! :lmao:

I love San Angel and have an ADR for my honeymoon but the last time I went I was seated where all I could see was a wall! I understand they have to seat somethere so I didnt complain.. I would this time just b/c its DH to be first time and its our honeymoon! ;)

I just wish they would get better desserts..While he requested San Angel I dont think he will eat the flan, rice pudding and I know he doesnt like bread pudding but maybe since we eat at Ohana the night before that will change his mind about bread pudding!

They will bring you out ice cream if you ask. I think my husband even got some hot fudge or chocolate sauce on his! None of those dessert choices appealed to him either. And make sure you tell them its your honeymoon and you want a river view, not a wall view! Congratulations on honeymooning at WDW, what a great start to a happy life together!

Check back after your honeymoon and let me know if you get the dreaded wall...heehee:lmao: , you see I know exactly what your talking about because we got the wall last time too! :ssst:

Ate there last week (2 of us) and were seated next to a table by the river. It was really good! I love those fiesta margaritas and I had the vegetarian plate and it was awesome!
