Can anyone give me a report on this place in mexico in epcot. i have eaten here a long time ago when i was younger and dont rememeber much. how is the food? i have a few picky eaters in my group also. basic tacos and quesadillas are about all they would eat. also should we request a certain area to sit?

I love San Angel BUT they dont have much by the basic taco and quesidilla angel..They however have very good nachos maybe your picky eaters can be happy with that. I say request a table by the water so you watch the boats go by..I love the ambience in this place so relaxing and beautiful!

I love the food and the atmosphere. It is really amazing. I have been with my children 2 times in the last year, and they just don't like it at all. The only thing they want to eat are the free chips and salsa. If your kids are picky like mine are, don't expect them to eat much here. We won't go back unless it is just my husband and me.

I tried to avoid this thread, but I get tired of feeling like maybe I don't know good food :rotfl: Was I drunk when I ate here? Was the dark lighting hiding something and I missed it? Maybe my server was no where to be seen? Maybe my food really did taste like crap? :rotfl:

Anyway, We have only done a few of the World showcase TS places to eat because of the kids. We have done San Angel two times and loved it both times we went. We had the Mexican Plato something. It came with Steak. My husband usually has to return the steak because it is pink inside, but it came back perfect. Not burned, juicy and very tender. The waiter kept everything coming and filled. We sat by the water and loved the atmosphere. Great place to be on a hot day. Just put on your sunglasses when you leave, unless the sun is turned down. We love Mexican food, maybe this has something to do with it. I don't know. I say try it once, just to see for yourself. :goodvibes

I love the san angel! If you can try to request a table by the water! It is basically like an On the Border but I still like it! It you don't have a ressie be prepared to wait a long time!

Whenever we go to Disney, we ALWAYS go to San Angel. Not that the food is extraordinary, but it's very good...and the ambience is unbelievable. My DS, 17, just told me the other day that it's his FAVORITE Dis restaurant. Although my "kids" are all basically adults (DS is youngest), they usually go to Disney with us; and they ALL get quesadillas. I agree that sitting as close to the "river" as possible is the way to go. I hope you do go there and ENJOY San Angel as much as we do!!! We'll be back in August and we have ADRs for lunch there.
