DD9 was doing a school project on Mexico, so we ate at San Angel Inn two Fridays in a row recently (April 28 and May 5 for Cinco de Mayo). She has deemed it her favorite restaurant, which for DD is saying something!
I love the atmosphere of dining under the stars - yes it is dark, and yest a bit crowded, but I get claustrophibic if people are too "in my space" and I was fine!!!
We enjoyed our food choices, I had asked for some suggestions on the board. The kids menu was good for DD - she liked the chicken quesidilla - they also have chicken fingers and a beef burrito (I think). DD also loved the Soupa Aztec, and used this as a dip for her tortilla chips, the salsa was too spicy!
They have kick *** margaritas too. First dinner there I had soup, and a combination platter that had a great piece of steak, chicken enchilada and a burrito - lots of food - I was stuffed. Second week I did soup and nachos (appetizer) and the margarita!!!
