When my mom and I went with my nephew in January, we requested a table by the water, but we were told only parties of 4 or more could be accommodated at those tables. We always wait longer to sit by the water, but we'd never been without the rest of the family, so I figured that was the truth. After dinner we went on the ride and I swear I saw tables for 2 off towards the sides. I'm not concerned about where we sat in January, we ended up having great seats because my nephew loved the mariachi band and we could see them from our seats. DH and I are eating there in a month when we are down for our anniversary trip, and I would prefer to sit by the water. Are there tables for 2? We are booked right when the restaurant opens for dinner, so hopefully we can get one of the seats without waiting too long. I'm just not sure if tables for 2 on the water exist since we were told we had too small of a party to sit at one in January. Does anyone know for sure? TIA!

You know I dont understand that. We had to wait 2 hrs past our ADR time on our honeymoon in 2008 for a table by the water, at one point we were willing to give up and just sit anywhere we were so hungry, my husband noticed an open table in the middle of the restaurant and politely asked hostess if we could just sit there as we waited 2 hrs now and she went off on him, saying that they do not seat 2 ppl at a 4 person table but we noticed a couple tables with only 2 ppl. Then later that week at CR I requested a table by the tank, I had a diver coming with a special sign for DH (again we are on our honeymoon) and we couldnt get a tank side table as a party of 2, but we were seated a huge round table that could have seated 6 across from the tank. Neither time did we complain but I think its ridiculous that couples or party of two get penalized at many WDW restaurants! I understand they are very busy but it just doesnt seem fair... There is just a few along the waters edge but not with real great views to be honest, I once sat in one that was in a corner and we barely saw the water..

Thanks for the response. I didn't really get it either since we were a party of 3, and had to sit at a table for 4 anyway. I'm not so concerned about the view, I just don't want to be in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the restaurant. Also another reason I made the ADR right when they open. Thanks for confirming that there are 2 person tables off to the side!

Last night I sat at a 2 person table off in the corner by the water at the San Angel Inn.
