We have an ADR for San Angel, but reading the negative reviews on the DIS we are thinking of changing it to Rose and Crown. What do you think we should do? Any one have pics of Rose and Crown? Food or atmosphere? Thanks so much!

Neither are anything particularly special. I rather like the atmosphere of San Angel, especially on a hot day in Florida.

If you're hungry for fish 'n chips with ale, go with R&C. If you want to down down tacos and margaritas, hit up San Angel.

I see you have a 6 y/o--we went to R&C when dd was 5 1/2 and it was so loud that night (about 7:30-8:00) that she sat with her fingers in her ears. We had a darling server who moved us to an outside table as soon as one was available. We really liked the food, although the yummy cottage pie is gone.:sad2: I still think I would choose this over San Angel and go early enough to be done eating in time to get a good place in the viewing area for Illuminations outside. I think if you are finished eating by 8 p.m. you will get a great view by the wall outside before it crowds up. Have fun!

They're both OK but neither are special -- in other words, don't torture yourself on this one and just grab the one that appeals to you more. Or just walk through World Showcase and eat at the first counter service that smells good!

Did not really care for the food or the just OK service at San Angel- but the atmosphere is great, my DH complains how dark it is- we have to take a small flashlight so he can even read the menu, Go there for a drink and chips and have your meal at Rose and Crown. RC is one of our favorite resturants, good food and really good service. Even nicer if you get out on the patio area.

The food used to really be good at San Angel Inn. It's a a shame that it's gone down hill. We ate there a few years back and were not happy with the overall meal.

I didn't like the food at the Rose and Crown. (My fault - I had the lamb shank and should have asked for the fish and chips!). We did get a very good table outside though, and the fireworks were great!

If you ask politely at the podium and have your reservations for around 7:00 you have a better shot at snagging an outside table. However, as other posters have pointed out, even if you do get seated inside, you can go out to view the fireworks.

We were at SAI last Saturday and we loved it. We had the ceviche, the mahi mahi and the chicken tacos. I really liked the ceviche and the tacos. The people behind us also were impressed with them. We actually were trying to figure out why people put down SAI so often. Everything was delicious!
