They might, or they might not. Doesn't hurt to ask but you should be prepared for them to tell you that you have to take the next table that is open, no matter where it is.
I went there alone once. I wasn't concerned about the view or anything but they put me at a table and served fish tacos. I'm eating my fish tacos and a party of 10 comes in who are being seated at two tables opposite me. The woman in charge of this party began demanding that they move me so that her party could use my table (she liked its location better than one of the tables they had been assigned), because "she's by herself and you can move her." A manager ended up being called who, when being asked "why can't you just move her? We are worth more than she is" (yes she really said that) politely declined to remove me from the table and said Ms. Demanding and her family could take the tables they were assigned or not.
So I don't know why you need to feel any less entitled to anything because you are alone - the restaurant management apparently does not feel that way, and as for what the rude gal thought, well, she was just rude. If she'd just been nice about it then MAYBE I would have offered to switch tables with her party.
