Sam's Club...

I shop a lot at Sam's and it is just my DH and I. I buy their meat and then repackage it for the freezer. I can get a package of 5-6 steaks for what 2 will cost at the grocery store! Milk is also MUCH cheaper there - $3.29 at the store vs. 1.89 at Sam's. I also get my film and contacts from there. My DH also likes the individual servings of chips and crackers for his lunch. The bakery is also wonderful and their cakes and cookies are priced very low compared to our local store bakery.

Where do you find the tickets for Disney or Universal on the Sams club site? I just get packages for travel but not tickets.

Thanks

They have a good deal on photo processing but we don't use that anymore since we went digital.
I get my digital prints done at Sam's 19 cents each

I belong to Sam's and Costco- and used to belong to BJs. Our Costco is in a crumby neighborhood and so the whole place is awful. The next closest Costco (in a nice neighborhood) is fantastic. They have the best fresh gourmet section. I heard that Julia Child buys all her meat from Costco. I also heard (from a gov. employee on the Dis boards) beware of Walmart meat.
I still buy their flash frozen chicken breasts.

Most of the groceries at our local Sams are higher than the sales prices at the regular grocery stores, especially since they don't take coupons. I don't find myself buying a lot there. The milk is always higher. They must not do any national pricing.

I do buy party goods such as frozen quiches and other munchies. Their big bags of chips are cheaper.

Normally their gasoline is cheaper, though not always. Their photo processing is pretty good and slightly cheaper than Walmart's.

We try to hit one when we travel to stock up on vacation food.

Until they got the gas station, I usually let my membership expire every year and didn't renew it until they sent me a special deal a few months later. Now with the gas, I renew it regularly.

For Christmas this year, my daughter got a GIANT Mickey Mouse. He is probably 4 feet tall and was only $32.00. He sleeps in DD's bed every night. Great Deal though.

Not sure if everyone is aware, but after April 21, at least here in New York, Sam's is no longer accepting Visa, MC or American Express. I think you can use a Visa debit card still and Discover. They are offering their own cc that has pretty high interest rates. This change is making us rethink our membership b/c we'll no longer get airline miles on our charges. Just wanted to warn you guys if you didn't already know.

Thanks for that "heads up" - I'm in upstate NY !!

It was a 'regional' test in the NE area of the country only.

Don't forget wine & beer.

We also buy diapers and wipes. (Though, thankfully we are almost done with those)

Laundry soap. Olive Oil. Bread (it's literally 1/2 the price)
