Which longhouse would you request and why? We are traveling August 15-24th so they should both be done with the refurbs. We are standard view and I know I will request 3rd floor without a doubt. Both locations seem great to me so tell me which one you would request and why!!! This will be our 1st stay at Poly and we are so excited! Myself, dh and 3 dd's ages 7,8,9!!!!

I would probably go with Samoa based on some personal preferences: we like to be as close to the GCH as possible for convenience sake and the very close proximity to the volcano pool where we spend a lot of time.

Samoa is very close to Grand Ceremonial House. It is also very close to Volcano Pool. If you want a balcony, you need to request 3rd floor. No balcony on 2nd floor, there is a patio on 1st floor. Tokelau rooms are a little bigger. It is a little further from GCH but not too far. Near quite pool. Has balcony on 2nd and 3rd Floor, patio on first. I personally would request Samoa, Volcano Pool side.:goodvibes

Another vote for Samoa as it's convenient to everything the others have posted as well as to Captain Cooks and the beach :goodvibes.

We stayed in Tokelau and loved it. So convenient to the quiet pool, a very relaxing and quiet location. We didn't find it too far from anything and with our garden view patio, could see Wishes with just a few steps!

That's a good point, it is close to the quiet pool and it's really not too far from the GCH either

We'll be there 8/17 to the 23rd. I requested Samoa. I like being close to the pool and GCH. Hoping for a3 rd floor balcony.

Tokelau rooms are 476 sq. feet vs. 415 sq. feet for Samoa. With five people in the room, you may want that extra space.

We stayed in Tokelau. It was quiet and closer to the TTC. Somoa is closer to activities.

Another vote for Tokelau. All floors have balconies. We were in the beach end of the building, and so went out that exit for Volcano Pool, walk along beach path, maybe a 5 min walk!
We cut thru Raratonga shortcut to go to GCH. It's right next to quiet pool, and a quick walk to TTC.

Also it's a newer longhouse so rooms are a tad larger, and halls are wider, so less possibility of hearing neighbour across the hall.

Totally agree with Sue for the same reasons. A short walk through Raratonga takes you to the GCH; it's close to the bus stop and the TTC is a short beautiful walk away. DD and her family were on the 3rd floor...this was there view:

DH and I were on the first...a short walk through our patio door to the pool:

We all rated our locations as one of the best we've ever had. :tink:

Loved our stay in Tokelau. The only issue we had is that they were working on Hawaii when we stayed there, so if we were out on our balcony, we were looking at workers!!! But, we had a nice peek at the lagoon from our room. And if we walked to the end of the bldg, walked down to the ground level, we were in a good spot to watch the fireworks from MK.
And, it is nicely located for getting to the TTC, as well as the laundry area and the GCH.

Thanks everyone...I'm still so torn! Do I want to be close to volcano pool or in a quieter spot. Ugh, decisions....I am thinking my 3 girls would LOVE a view of the volcano pool...hmmmmm...

We loved Tokelau! Thought requesting Samoa was too much of a risk since we definitely wanted a balcony. Prioritize your "must haves" and go from there. :goodvibes

Tokulau is full of mold !!!!!!

This comment requires some additional information, IMHO. What was your experience? And are you sure it was mold and not mildew? Not doubting you but I've never heard a comment about mold in the Tokelau building before.
