Samoa building at poly good?

Hi,

We will be staying at the Poly for the first time and my 6yr old wants to stay where the ducks and rabbits come up so I requested Samoa patio. Did anyone encounter the little animals while staying there?

Yes, we will be going to the pool quite a bit and wanted something close to everything but the main thing is that I want where the little animals such as ducks, rabbits etc come up to your patio.


Also another question? will a 13 year boy old like the poly pool?

We stayed in Somoa 1609 (first floor, Nanea side) three times last year and never saw any ducks nor rabbits right near the room. They were always closer to the Great Ceremonial House for some reason.

We love that location, just walk out the sliding glass door, take about 15 steps and fall into the pool.

And, yes, a teenager will enjoy Nanea.

Our last visit to the Poly was in the Samoa building in Room 1610. Direct view of the Volcano Pool...literally 20 feet away!

It was on the ground floor You could see the GF to the right and "felt" very much in the Disney "atmosphere"

We absolutely loved the room! (Some Ducks did visit on occassion)

We stayed in Somoa 1618 last summer and had ducks almost everyday. The kids got a real kick out of them. Every morning, they woke up, they would run over to the sliding glass door to look for them. We saw a couple of rabbits during our stay, but not near our room.

Somoa is in a great location IMHO. One side has the quiet pool, the other side is the Volcano Pool. Some say it is too noisy because of the pools, but we didn't seem to experience any noise. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

DD and I just stayed in the Hawaii bldg. which is right next door to Samoa, and there were rabbits and ducks everywhere!! The stream where the ducks like to hang out empties right near Samoa, so I think you have a very good chance of visitors!!
