Sami Al-Arian Arrested!

Well it's about time. Tampa area DISers, and others, will be familiar with the miscreant we've been dealing with here at the University of South Florida in Tampa. An engineering professor, Sami Al-Arian, and others were arrested and indicted this morning. He is accused of being THE head of the Palastinian Islamic Jihad for North America. The University has been slow to actually fire him because the academy wants to defend this terrorist based upon "academic freedom" and tenure principles. Perhaps now we can finally be rid of him!

Ah well. Pleasing Bill O'Reilly is an unfortunate side affect of this. But I'll take it to get rid of this guy. The fringe of the academic community have been barking that getting rid of him would harm the reputation of the school. But in reality, the opposite is true.

Hey I'll admit O'Reilly tends to go overboard sometimes- but this time he was RIGHT ON. I think his coverage of this guy was instrumental in getting this jerk.

Sounds like the authorities helped save the school from continuing on with an embarrassing situation. .


As far as O'Rilley. . . I watch him quite a bit and he can be bombastic and irritating. . . but I give him credit because unlike say a Rush Limbaugh, he will criticize Republicans as well as Democrats if he thinks it's warranted .

I agree. This is a great thing. Bill O'Reilly definitely had alot to do with them nabbing this jerk. I make no apologies, I love watching the O'Reilly Factor - whether he's hammering on Democrats or Republicans. He tells it exactly like it is - no matter who you are.

I agree with WillyJ - O'Reilly can be a little full of himself (he's also self-effacing too though), but he'll call a spade a spade, regardless of the party. He's gone after Jeb Bush for the adoption mess down in FL, just as he's gone after NJ's racist Poet Laureate.

Regardless of what you think of him personally, you can't deny his accomplishments, including this & forcing the 9/11 charities to give the victims' families the money.
