I'm used to staying on DVC points and haven't booked on cash for quite a while so I could be wrong but doesn't Disney give you the same rate for your entire stay unless it goes down? I thought the way it used to be that if the room was $99 for your first night, you kept that rate the whole time, even if the rate changed from offpeak to peak season sometime during your stay. We're trying to book for Dec. and the first night is less than half what the other 2 nights are.

Disney now prices by the night, so weekends are more, holiday periods are more even if you started your trip during a non-holiday price period (that's what I remember from before -- as long as your trip started during value season, you kept the value season rate for your whole stay -- not any more!)

Disney does date based pricing now. If you stay for a while you might have 3 or 4 differant nightly rates for one trip

That stinks! I was worried that that's what they were doing now. Unfortunately, I've used all my points for this year so I'm having to pay for that weekend. It's hard to pay $140 for a value resort! Especially when the first night is only $54. Any ideas on a different room that values for 3 adults and 2 children? We're looking at 2 rooms at a value but we don't mind all sharing a room if we can do better with a rate elsewhere.

Thanks
