Same Or Different Party From Childhood?

I grew up in a very conservative house. I also vote republican however I would have crossed party lines this year and voted for Hilary if I could have. My siblings still vote republican and so do their spouses.

My family are Repubs. I am more of a swing voter.

However until the Repubs take the gay and religion issue off of the "talking points" I will be voting Democratic.

My parents voted Republican when I was growing up - with the exception of voting for Johnson instead of Goldwater in 1964. The first election I voted in was 1976, and I voted for Ford because I was from Michigan. I went through a definite "socialist" phase in my 20's - and I would've loved Obama had this been 25 years ago! I finally voted as a conservative Republican in 1988 - and George H.W. Bush was the first president I voted for who won. Since then, my mom has switched parties - beginning with Clinton in 1992.

My mom was a republican, my dad was a democrat (although, he loved Reagan).

Both my sister and I are democrats, and we both married republicans.
