What are the chances of getting same day Fastpasses at HS the first week of September for 2 or 3 people? We are staying at YC and will be spending either a morning or afternoon at either EP or HS for 6 days. Because of teiring at EP, I was considering getting morning fastpasses at EP for FEA one day then Soaring the next and getting Toy Story and whatnot at HS for the evening. We plan to use single rider on TT. With our three year old in tow, rope drop probably isn't a possibility. We have our FP set for our MK and AK days. Thanks!

TSMM is a little harder but we have done it. As a matter of fact, most of the FPs we book are same day. We go often enough that rides aren't a huge focus for us so we don't book anything in advance since we rarely know what park we are going to until we get up in the morning. If we are staying at a moderate, we actually play bus roulette and just get on the first bus that comes unless it's DS (because don't do DS) or if we were at that park the day before. We also tend to decide while walking around one park that we want to move over to another one so I'm on my phone booking FPs while on the bus or we just stand in line (gasp).

Just don't believe the MDE app if it says there are no FP+ for the attraction you want. Keep refreshing the page, and you'll be surprised at what will suddenly be available . If a time should come up that you don't want, take it anyway and then keep trying to modify it. We've obtained multiple FP+ for TSM, ToT. and RnRC by doing this.

Yesterday I was able to get six fastpasses at HS after my initial three at Epcot. Everything was available. It was a fairly light crowd day since most were at MK and Epcot for fireworks, but still, it was July 4th.

Keep changing the times in the MDE app and you'll be amazed at what comes up. We got back to back TSMM FPs when we were there last month. Good luck!

For additional FP, at Epcot, FEA is the hardest, followed by Test Track, followed by Soarin'. FEA is very difficult, and Soarin' is actually pretty easy.
At DHS, RnR is harder than TSMM. GMR is very easy. Surprisingly ToT is pretty tough to get as an additional FP. It comes up as not available probably more than RnR.
Use groups of two or three when booking if you have a big party.
ETA: For DHS, I'd book ToT or RnR from your first park, and then save TSMM for after that one, if you intend to do more than one. Of course with a toddler, you may just want TSMM. We found TSMM (and Soarin') surprisingly easy to book additional FP for.
