Same cruise 2 years in a row?

I couldn't do it myself but I don't see anything wrong with it. I am sure there is still plenty left for you that will be new to you and if the price and dates work, then go for it.

We personally try to explore new places so even our Disney trips are stretching to every 3 or so years instead of every other year when the kids were young. And unfortunately cruising on Disney isn't likely to happen for us much anymore, unless part of a trip with extended family because while we have not been to many of the ports onboard Disney we have been to them on other cruise lines or as part of a land vacation and we really feel the need to go to see more of the world at this point in our lives. But maybe someday...

We were on the 5 day Bahamas cruise on the Dream this June. We had such a great time that we booked the same cruise for next year while we were still on the ship. :)

We’ve done Fantasy Westerns 4 months apart. I was sick the whole cruise the first time so I wanted a do-over. We’ve also done the exact same eastern itinerary on NCL Escape back-to-back. It was amazing!

We are going to do the same cruise this year as we did last year, same week and itinerary.

This time around I know what to expect at each port so we can plan different activities compared to the previous year, as well as the ship itself. I told my wife after our previous cruise there was a whole other section of ship we didn't get to explore. This upcoming trip will give us the opportunity to try new things and redo activities we thoroughly enjoyed on our last trip.

And like what many posters have said it's about hanging out with family too.

Cheers!

We've done 2- 3 day cruises and 2 - 4 day cruises. They have all been at least a year apart. We haven't found it repetitive at all. There is so much to do on the ship and we love Castaway Cay. We have gotten off at Nassau all but one time. You can make it different with excursions etc if you want.

We’ve done the same Bahamian cruise probably 6 times. We are a little over it and plan to expand out, even if it means flying into the port. (We are lucky enough to live in Florida with plenty of ports in driving time). Being on the ship is the main goal for us, though. Where it goes is secondary.

This December, we are doing the same cruise itinerary we did in April of this year. April was SWDAS and Dec is Merrytime. Honestly, it was about the dates. We would have done another one, but the dates didn't work out for us. And we prefer the 7 day trips... :beach:

absolutely - we're platinum - and have cruised to multiple destinations - but the real driver is finding the right week when the kids are out of school and have no activities - so right now we've been taking the same week off between soccer and basketball for our cruises - which means the same destinations - maybe the shows are the same - but the other entertainment is different - and the movies - so it still feels like a new cruise everything we go

We have sailed 7 Panama canal cruises, all on the Wonder 4 Eastbound and 3 Westboud with one more booked for February. When talking about all of our repeat cruises a very wise cruise director, Peter< told us no 2 cruises are ever the same.

What did you like about the Panama cruise that made you book 6 more ? Intriguing!

I can't wait to hear the answer to your question, too Scrapycruiser! But one guess I have is simply that the longer the cruise, the better!!! :cutie: And the Panama Canal is a repositioning cruise so is often a bit less expensive. Now tutmomickey, we await your input please! :flower3:

We love sea days and longer cruises. This is the longest cruise Disney has with lots of sea days. The locks themselves are fascinating. We have now been through both the old and new and I have to admit, the old were more exciting.Still, it never seems to get old. Another plus for us,just my husband and I, was the few number of children. We don't mind the children on board but, with so few on these cruises they open the kids club with special activities to adults. We have made flubber, animation cells and been to Cinderella's Ball. It was a true vacation to be a kid again. Also, the menus never repeat so there is always something new to eat. Thaespecial guests are also a plus. Besides the Broadway stars we have had original Mouseketeers ,animators, directors and Ridley Pearson. You can't find those experiences easily.
