I've never had the Salvation Army Truck come to my home before as I've always dropped items off for donation. This time I have a refrigerator and about 15-20 kitchen sized bags of clothing that they are picking up. Should I tip the drivers who pick up the donations? If so what is an appropriate amount?

I have stuff picked up regularly by Amvets and Purple Heart Veterans. I have never tipped the drivers, but I have never had them pick up a fridge either.

You are not asking them to deliver. They are coming to pick something up that you have donated. There is no need to tip them. If you want, give them a soda or something.

thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure.

I totally agree with this. This tipping thing is really getting out of control.
