Do you know of any sales on XBox games or coupon codes for sites that sell them? My DH has asked for two but they are SO pricy. And of course the two he wants are so popular that I would almost pay full price on ebay.

Can you help me?

It really depends on the title. I've found "sales" on Xbox games about two weeks after the release, usually at Target.

For example, last year my son wanted Battlefront 2: Star Wars and it was a $50 game. I didn't want to spend that much for a game so I waited for a sale. Target had that game for sale about 2 weeks before Christmas for $39.99. That game was $40 on Black Friday as well. I think I wound up buying it on Black Friday and getting a price adjustment.

On one of the games I wanted for DH, Target was offering it for regular price, but it came with a $10 gift card, so a pretty good deal.

If the games cost over $50 - go to buy.com and use google checkout to take $20 off = I have purchased many 59.99 xbox 360 games for 44 shipped.

Recently my dh got Gears of War. I was in the mall so I went into FYE. It was the same price everywhere, but there was a $10 rebate on my receipt! :cool1: I had never bought anything at FYE before, so I don't know how often they have the rebates but you could go in and ask. Also, check out Gamestop. We have the membership card where we get another 10% off used games and a 'free' magazine sub.

Yeah, what are the games- it is hard to give advice without that info.

Thanks everyone! My DH is looking for Gears of War (new release) and Lego Star Wars for my DD. I haven't seen either on sale but will go check out buy.com

The Lego star wars went on sale the week after it was released at Target. It was also a few dollars off on Black friday.

I used www.yourfree360games.com to get a few games for DH. It is basically one of those sites that you complete promotional offers and they send you an item. You need to complete 2 offers per game. I have gotten 3 games so far (including Gears of War), so it really is legit. I think I have completed about $25 worth of promo offers and have got 3 $60 games in return. It usually takes about 2 weeks after you complete an offer to get the game. The big thing is to remember to cancel any of your offers before their free trials ends, so you're not charged any extra.

If you have any questions about which offers I did, let me know.

We belong to www.gamefly.com . With that you have to opportunity to buy the game once you have it in hand for a really big discount. For example, we had Viva Pinata for xbox360 in our que long before it ever came out. On release day it was in the mail to us. Once we got it we went to purchase it and paid $35 for this brand new $50 game.

Since we joined gamefly we have really cut down on our game purchases because we just rent them now until we are done with them and send them back.

For those that don't know, gamefly is like Netflix where instead of getting movies in the mail, you get games.

We love it!

The other place that I found that sometimes has good deals is www.familyvideo.com ... If you are a new customer there is a $5 off coupon floating around here on the budget board. It was associated with the release of the "Cars" movie

Circuit City has Gears of War on sale this week for $44.99 - that's the best price I've seen so far. I bought it at Target a few weeks ago - it was regular price and they gave you a $10 GC with purchase, so I figure it ended up costing me $50 - not too bad. Definitely check out CC if you're still looking.
