coffee pot, toaster, microwave, small refrigerator; paper plates/bowls, plastic utensils: real coffee cups & small glasses. Don't remember a corkscrew in the studio so I'd bring my own (although you might be able to ask for one at check-in :confused3)
Thanks! I think I'll just put one in my checked luggage! A bottle of South African wine would go perfectly with our trip!:lmao:

Good morning Jamborinis! :goodvibes

I got home after midnight last night from another wonderful (but too short!!) trip to WDW!

Parks were crowded, but that's a good thing!! ;) Forecast had 50-60% chance of storms every day - only had one (Sunday afternoon).

Yesterday the humidity shot way up and it got a bit unbearable. I guess that made going home easier!

I have one complaint about this trip -- and it didn't occur at WDW. The Orlando Airport's Security check-in gets more and more screwed up every time I fly out of there. :headache: The TSA agents checking IDs/boarding passes did a thorough job but once you passed by them, there was chaos to get into a line for screening. People were pushing and shoving - 8 people trying to get into the line (that was moving at a snail's pace) at the same time.

I definitely knew I wasn't in Disney anymore. :rotfl:

Nice to have you back... we missed you!

Glad you had a good time at WDW and I agree, I wish I could get to WDW without going thru MCO!

We're back in a DVC Savannah view studio in Jambo House for our trip, staying on cash, not points. What's in the kitchenette? Dishes, pots, silverware, glasses? Is there a toaster? Should I bring my own corkscrew? I'd like to know what's there before I decide if a Garden Grocer order is worth it.

Thanks!

I also throw in a couple of cheap plastic bowls in my luggage since they only give you paper ones.

Thanks! It's good to be back -- for 28 days anyway!! :woohoo: No time to read back. What did I miss? :flower3:

 You're right! I called them "plastic" - that's the utensils, not the plates & bowls -- those ARE paper!!

Keep in mind, the Coffee mugs hold about 6 oz, I think these are one of Disney's subtle ways of getting us to either buy the refillable mugs or a souvenir mug each trip. I like to sit on the balcony with my coffee each morning and not have to run back in for a refill right away.

Most trips I'll buy a refillable, but then proceed to use it with my own brewed coffee the entire trip ;)

Morning, Happy Hump Day:flower3: Hoping for some good news today and the ability to do some serious planning:woohoo:

While we were there, the resorts got some new mug colors -- same mug design, but new top/handle covers we hadn't seen before: green, purple and now I can't remember what the third color was (it's that age/memory thing acting up again!!). I liked the green & purple ones - must not have liked the 3rd color!!! :rotfl: (I'm going to say it was orange and some one will soon correct me if I'm wrong!! :rotfl2:)

Remember the days when each resort had it's own design? I loved those! This one-design-suits-all bit stinks. I want them to bring those back so bad. I'm sure AKL/V would have an awesome design. None of this funky red/yellow or purple/orange bit. :goodvibes

... of course my kitchen cabinet is over run with Disney refillable mugs as it is :rolleyes1 Water tastes better in them, what can I say

Does somebody have a picture of the mug? i am not sure I have ever seen one?

Everything is better thing Disney ;)

DIS unplugged did a report on the new mugs:
http://www.disunplugged.com/2011/02/26/new-resort-drink-mugs-debut-at-walt-disney-world/

They look OK for the BC, or values but out of place for most of the other resorts.

Not impressed, I would prefer something unique to AKL. :confused3

:yay: I will be homeless in the middle of August. Yeah, I said that. That just sounds so wrong:rotfl: But I am a couple more steps closer to being done and able to plan my trip to WDW and focus on that:woohoo:

Doing fine today. :goodvibes I'm busy packing. We're headed to Florida tomorrow to find a new home. We're going to stop by the AKL on our way back to the airport on July 4. I have an ADR for lunch at Sanaa. I'm so excited! :yay::yay::yay:

How are things with you? Is it okay to call you "t"?

Good luck with the house hunt!

Hi everyone! Is everyone doing well?

:banana: I'm down to about 40 days until my arrival at Jambo House for my latest WDW trip.

One of my sisters was up this past weekend and we picked our dates for our Aug '12 family WDW trip. We will definitely be staying at AKV. We are leaning towards Kidani because of the 3 bathrooms in a 2 BR. This trip may use all of my points for 2 years but it will be nice to have a family trip: me, my middle sister & maybe her son, and my youngest sister & her family.

Hmmm. yay & homeless is not something that I am used to seeing.

Note to self: Find a cool large coffee mug next trip and find a way to fit it in the OL. We already brought our own corelle large bowl for cereal that's in the OL along with other "touches from home" like Mickey Pepper Grinder, measuring cups & spoons. I deserve not to have to go back to the coffee maker every 7-8 sips to refill my coffee mug!

That trip sounds wonderful. I have been trying to do the same with my kids. I can never get everyone on the same page.

As soon as you have your dates I will add you to the list. I have noone out Aug 12 so you would be #1.

We bring a nice coffee caraffe with us...and tote it out to the balcony. That way, while we're drinking one pot, the 2nd pot (which we fill our travel mugs with, so we can take with) is brewing. You can find decent ones for right around $20.

Does anyone have a way to check on Kim? She has not been on the DIS since 6/14. :(
