I finally got to talk to my brother. He has no power and no battery left in his cell phone. plus no car charger...
He is ok and his home is ok, minor shingle damage but easy to fix.
So my family is all healthy and safe, I feel very blessed.
Hopefully power will be returned soon, but for now they are all ok and dealing with life as it comes. They have shelf stable food and life is returning around the city so I am hopeful that things will get better soon.
I update as I can.
Wow, I haven't been on in a few days and I have missed a lot.
Wendy, I hope that your new treatment starts working.
Brandi, I'm so sorry to hear that your family was caught up in the storms/tornados. I'm glad to hear that they weren't hurt, but it must still be awful for them.![]()
Usa. Usa. Usa. !!!!!!!!!!
You know...the best laid plans:
So, we had gotten clearance to go wheels up today at 3 PM, landing at Maxwell AFB. That was finalized yesterday at about noon.
Until about 8:45 last night, that is. We were advised (and, now, it's obvious WHY) that, due to increased security restrictions, we would not have authorization to land at Maxwell for at least the next week.
We're going to be sending stuff overland, now, and (to their credit) the Air Force (with some help from the Army, I think) is coordinating logistics for us. We'll (and I'm actually going to help) have to show up in Groton this afternoon to load a tractor trailer with supplies.
Other than that, all we know is it will arrive in Alabama sometime on Thursday.
But, because of all that (though by the sounds of things it wasn't needed anyway), we can only load "authorized" cargo.....so I won't be able to help out getting other supplies to any of the Jamborini extended family members.
Usa. Usa. Usa. !!!!!!!!!!
I second that sentiment!!It's a happy day here in the USA for sure!

Ditto for me also.
As someone with a permanent back injury I can totally relate to the pain and not wanting to complain. While I have been through all types of treatments to decrease the pain, I try not to speak of them to jade your opinion and hopeful relief from the treatment.
You both are in my prayers and so are everyone else here...
Due to my own problems with my back, medicine changes, and the loss of feeling to type, I will most likely be a lurker, by my heart and prayers are here until the next good day rolls along.
Kim: once I feel better would it be okay to send you a PM re: Universal. I have some questions, but it takes a long time to type and my typo's are extreme right now. I need a considerate soul to read and get through the post. Just let me know.
Also, PLEASE, if you can, continue to post here, even if you have typo's - we don't care - we just want you to know that you are one of us, a friend to all of us and we love having you here!!! Feel Better Dear and know we are ALL thinking of you!!!![]()

Just wanted to drop in and say. I have been lurking when we decided that a cruise was out and WDW was in this trip. I decided that the family would just
AKL. I have found your thread very helpful if not kinda crazy
But that just means I will fit right on in
Hubby is a Marine and in school(probably does not about bin Laden yet, I'm doing the) and will graduate at the end of May so I wanted to surprise him with CL at AKL.
The kids have no clue this is happening
When we get closer to being able to finalize plans I might be throwing some questions out to you. Like theof the safari, and spending some time at the resort, and dining plans(never did one of these).
For those of you with health issues, a quick recovery and a little![]()
