:snooty:

Holy Zebra Domes! I can't believe we're on page 7. I've been under the weather and haven't been around. Oh well, I'll just be fashionably late. princess:

Hope you're feeling better!!

Dh loved it so much it convinced him to buy DVC:cool1:

Funny, same thing with my DH - he LOVED it the first time we stayed there, FINALLY, I convinced him we should buy DVC - so he insisited it was going to be at the lodge!!!

....good morning....I. NEED. A. GLASS. OF....FRUNCH!

ME TOO

That's how we ended up with our DVC. DH kept saying no, until it was announced at AKL.
:thumbsup2

Hi All, We are going to Kidani as DVC members this August. We've been to Jambo 2 times and went to Kidani's lobby and Sanaa but I need some details. My kids are middle and high school age and want to try an "Amazing Race" kid of quest while we are a WDW. I was thinking of making one up for Kidani when we check in that the kids could run around and do while we set up the room etc. It is kinda like a scavenger hunt but I was hoping to get some details from here on some info...

I saw a snake statue at the pool or water playground from jungle book and I thought a clue would read something like this...

Find the pool and water playground and find out the name of the snake and from what movie is he from ( i googled it and he is from jungle book and his name is Kaa)

What I was wondering was if the pool and playground area are adjoining each other or in another area from the pool? Also, what is the name of the DVC community room and what is in there- I may have them check that out and play a game of foose-ball or something to get their next clue. I looked up info on Debs unofficial website but there is no names of rooms or maps, I was hoping to print out a map of Kidani so any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks All!

As for the room "name" all I know is that it's called Community Hall - They have all sorts of crafts, pool table, video games, computers, board games, way too many things to list, they also have a list of daily activities, like out by the pool, etc...... DS loved it - I have some pics posted here somewhere - I think in my TR - I'll try to find it and post the link!!

** Here is the link to my TR with the pics of Community Hall - look on pg. 6 - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2475456&highlight=wendypooh+tr

Disney Recipe – FRUNCH
Brian on July 5, 2007 | Filed Under Disney Recipes

"By far one of the best buffet restaurants in Walt Disney World is Boma, which is located inside the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The atmosphere and the wide selection of foods with an African twist makes this spot an enjoyable one after a great day at the parks. However, one of the best kept secrets is the Breakfast Buffet at Boma which has an equally wide menu of items, including today’s ‘Disney Recipe of the Day’ which is FRUNCH!

Instead of grabbing a glass of OJ next time you have breakfast at home, try this amazing concoction!"

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups – Mango Juice

1 – 8oz can of frozen Pineapple Juice (prepared)
1 – 8oz can of frozen Lemon Juice (prepared)
1 – 8oz can of frozen Orange Juice (prepared)

3/4 cup – Grenadine

"Here’s what you do: Prepare the frozen juices according to the instructions on each can (it’s easiest to empty the cans into a large bowl and add the appropriate amount of water per the package instructions.) No need to do each separately. Just empty them in a bowl, mix in the amount of water required and stir. Then, add the Mango juice and Grenadine to the mix. Serve in a glass over ice and there you have it!

Also, if you’re like me and are not really fond of the concentrate versions of the juice, you can certainly substitute fresh squeezed or the ‘not from concentrate’ versions of the juice which you can find in any grocery store. Each can will normally make 64-ounces of juice so just substitute a 1/2 gallon of each juice if you’re not using the concentrate versions. This does make a TON of Frunch but will easily keep in the fridge like any other juice. Plus, if you have a smaller gathering, you can certainly cut everything in half if need be.

Just another way to ‘Bring Home the Magic’ so hope you enjoy!"

Just a list of us that are going to world....

I hope everyone has a great time!! I don't think we're going to make it down this year. We're going on a cruise (Carnival) this summer, and I've been trying to also talk DH into going to Disney for a few days (9/29-10/3 or 4) for HIS birthday (Not mine, mind you! I'm trying to sacrifice my birthday to give HIM a trip to WDW for his birthday....see how generous I am???). So far, he's not going for it.

Oh well. Maybe next year. :upsidedow
