Sailing to the Eye!

VMK was not meant for kids, it is was intended for adults. Here's the proof.

1.Dreams items came out first on Ebay, where you must be an adult to have an account.

2.Most host games are at 5:30 PST/8:30 EST which is clearly bed time for kids on the east coast and about the time adults get home from work on the west coast.

3.VMK closes at 10 PST/1 EST even during the week while school is in session, which is clearly past any kids bedtime.

4. Early morning host events like todays, are meant for the adults who work 2nd or 3rd shift, they need prizes too. Kids are suppose to be in school, so we know it was'nt meant for them.

5. Even the title of the game is meant for adults, "Vurtual Magic Kingdom". How could it be a Virtual Magic Kingdom with screaming kids running around in it? That would be more like "Wild Kingdom".

6.Some Avatars have beards and mustaches which kids do not have.

See VMK is for adults, we just have to behave and watch what we say because there are kids jumping over the fences and entering our Kingdom. They made Club Penguin for you kids.

If that is not proof enough for you, I can make up a few more. ;)

This is from VMK Values:" While many of VMK's players are between the ages of 8-14, VMK is designed to be enjoyed by Guests of all ages"

I am not sure where the information that the game is for adults and not children comes from, the above listed six items, doesn't indicate that to me. Kids on the east coast probably are not up at 1 a.m. for VMK, during the school week, but That makes it a 9 P.M. closing on the west coast, where there probably are alot of children up to the age of 14 awake and playing.

Dream Items did come out on Ebay, which an adult has a ebay account, But also Kids go to WDW and DLR also with their parents/Guardians, Disney is about family. An adult and many do, play with and for their children, children may have trouble on some games, or adults can. A game that can be enjoyed by the family, I have met people on VMK, who are three generation! Grand parent, Parent and Grand child. And they all seem to enjoy the game, its a way for them to do something as a family, when distance is a issue.

As for the avatars, most kids and adults are not green and pink or have pink and blue hair.

I believe aengus has the point, VMK has alot of time zones to cover, and unfortunatly not everyone will be happy with the times of events, this is not quoting him exactly, but I take this as his point.

As for the wild Kingdom analogy, some days seems like thats true, but who is to say that is the "kids" on VMK? Where I myself have run into a few rude kids, I have also run into rude adults, who thought nothing of getting what they could out of a trade on you, who were rude, and beyond greed.i.

VMK still is a family game, I personally would not if I had a child between the ages of 8-14 let them play unsupervised.

ROFL, yes I was. I got them so upset over what I said they completely forgot about the host room thing today which means my job in this thread is done. :thumbsup2

Oh Gas, that was funny. I sure as heck would not be playing in the "Wild Kingdom.":rotfl2:

:sad1:

Adults are so evil just taking advantage of us like that. :( Lol.

Hey I stick up for you kids alot too, my sister was complaining on the phone to me during the quest we did the other day where you had to walk the plank. A few people decided to just block the plank so you had to go to another room. She said "I wish these little brats would stop doing that" and I informed her that those little brats were in school so it was some grown up brat.

I responded to the thread with a legitimate response, I don't feel that I fell for anything. If it was a joke then cool, I have not even been on VMK today, and had no idea if there was a host event either unscheduled or scheduled, Scheduling events to accomadate all time zones, would be impossible, and some adults and Kids can get frustrated with this. Its nice that Host Hurricane had a event today, and hope as many time zones as possible, enjoyed it.

Just in case someone takes this seriously, instead of the joke it was intended to be, let me clarify. When I say these little brats, I am talking about the avatars on vmk not an age group of people, since I have no idea what the age group of the particular trouble making avatar is.

Holy cow!! I step away for the evening to live in the real world for a bit and look what you all do to Hurry's thread!

Personally I don't see what's wrong with a Host opening up an unscheduled event... :confused3 It wasn't supposed to be on the calendar anyways... so if you missed it, you didn't lose anything; if you got in, well, that was a very nice surprise bonus! :thumbsup2

Sigh, I know, it just makes me really mad that they do all the good stuff
while I am at school rofl. They should really make the quest events run all day while switching out who is running it(no one wants to sit in a room all day)
and they should run Q-Button Quest events all day long too.
because some people can't help they actually have a life sometimes, whether
it is going to work, sleeping, or going to school, I guess some of us have
to miss some events.

I know, I guess it's UK's turn to get the quests, so UK and adults get rare
pirate Q, credits and TDM and American kids get gold hat chairs and TDM?

worst I have double blocks i sit in a room for 2 hours SS and 2 hours NOT GOOD. I get nothing because my dad blocked it, on the weekends I'm allowed on becuase I work around the house, and shovel with the amazing muscles LOL (not really) (it took me 2 hours do the driveway)

I'm sorry. What is this snow of which you speak? :goodvibes

where I live there was a lot of snow and my driveway is HUGE and i shoveld it for 2 hours and Im only 12 and my dad un blocked vmk for it

Ugh you do a double take on that ( gas's post) and it seems so obvious................ ugh

huh??>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>?????????????? :confused3 :confused3

Please dont make the thread look so ugly... all the arrow's really does make it like kind of busy. :confused3

Anyway, I was saying gas's post about VMK for adults :)

Well that would depend entirely on the context, wouldn't it.

Hurry and I had been singing a song... "you spin me right round, baby...right round like a record, baby..." I then sat in the chair and he spun me around and around....

But actually, I call everyone in VMK "baby", just a word I happen to use a lot... :goodvibes
