Sailing to the Eye!

Well I hope VMK puts up another surprise event later while I'm not at school,
and maybe change the time of the quests on tuesday because I can't do a
single quest until the 22nd of this month.

...I thought this was a kid's game!!!!...

Completely unrelated to this event, I think it is VERY important for kids who play VMK to realize that VMK is NOT played only by kids. There are a LOT of adults in Funville.

(SharkMeal, I am not directing the above at you. Just a general comment about a GIANT mis-belief that I think many vmk kids have about fellow players.)

Let us remember the kids in the UK that play when the normal quests are on in the evening they are in bed :goodvibes

Sigh, I know, it just makes me really mad that they do all the good stuff
while I am at school rofl. They should really make the quest events run all day while switching out who is running it(no one wants to sit in a room all day)
and they should run Q-Button Quest events all day long too.
because some people can't help they actually have a life sometimes, whether
it is going to work, sleeping, or going to school, I guess some of us have
to miss some events.

I know, I guess it's UK's turn to get the quests, so UK and adults get rare
pirate Q, credits and TDM and American kids get gold hat chairs and TDM?

The rare is getting to you..
Be happy with what you have
It's better then nothing!

You're right, I'm forgetting the point of the game. It's just I get so mad
so easily, it's not my fault!

I'll get over it. :)

No time is good for everyone. Kids are on VMK at opening, at closing, and all times in between. There are many more weekday evening events than day events every month. It's great VMK had this for those who miss out on the night ones.

Come on...... Open the rooms with great prizes when most are at school? 8-14..... of course their are adults, but come on.

They could have a teleporter game, or a game where you can get the same prizes on the weekend. Not the really rare stuff during the middle of the day.:confused3

Amen lol. I was thinking the same. Maybe at the pirate and princess party! Which
reminds me, I still have to buy me pirate costume. pirate:

As much as I can understand your disappointment, there is no time that would suit everyone. Be glad they did a spontaneous event like that. Maybe they will do more @_@

VMK was not meant for kids, it is was intended for adults. Here's the proof.

1.Dreams items came out first on Ebay, where you must be an adult to have an account.

2.Most host games are at 5:30 PST/8:30 EST which is clearly bed time for kids on the east coast and about the time adults get home from work on the west coast.

3.VMK closes at 10 PST/1 EST even during the week while school is in session, which is clearly past any kids bedtime.

4. Early morning host events like todays, are meant for the adults who work 2nd or 3rd shift, they need prizes too. Kids are suppose to be in school, so we know it was'nt meant for them.

5. Even the title of the game is meant for adults, "Vurtual Magic Kingdom". How could it be a Virtual Magic Kingdom with screaming kids running around in it? That would be more like "Wild Kingdom".

6.Some Avatars have beards and mustaches which kids do not have.

See VMK is for adults, we just have to behave and watch what we say because there are kids jumping over the fences and entering our Kingdom. They made Club Penguin for you kids.

If that is not proof enough for you, I can make up a few more. ;)

Well I won a green treasure chest not rare. And the only reason I am on todays is we had to take a snow day. But it just means I have to work more hours to make up the day missed.

And contrary to your opinion most adults are working.

The UK people miss so much it is so sad. They have less time to play because of the 5 hours in time difference. So when hosts game start at 8:30 it is 1:30 in the UK.

They can not do movie rewards, or get to the parks as easy as many players could do when quest cards were available.

So it is sad to see people get upset for other good surprise for some who never seem to get them.

I will never have breakfast with Lily nor most games during the day. Miss seeing the imagineer display because I am working.

But congrats to those who finally get a chance to participate.

It was a fluke yes but no different when Yavn would pop in and out. Never met him either. :)

Everyone is going to have your opinions on this, but I will reply on each
and everyone of them lol.

1. They released dream items later and while they did not specify I'm sure
it was so kids wouldn't have to sign up for ebay and make everyone in the
virtual magic kingdom happy :)

2. 8:30 does not equal most kids bedtimes. That's like, 2nd graders bedtimes.
Just because most people get home from work when a quest starts does
not mean VMK intentionally makes it so adults get to play a quest when they
get home from work. Besides some adults don't, my dad usually gets home
at about 11:30 PM EST.

3. VMK closing hours have nothing to do with adults or kids playing. If Club
Penguin doesn't close isn't 4 AM way past kids bed times too?? Gosh I guess
Club Penguin is for adults too then..

4. This is the reason we're complaining. We're already discussing this.

5. That is just STEREOTYPES and PREJUDICE right there. Quite and insult to us kids! Not all kids go around screaming and running. How does "virtual" and "magical" and "kingdom" mean adults and not kids? I don't get it.

6. Most kids games have stuff where you can 'pretend' and not all the faces
have beards or mustaches.

Club penguin is like so boring anyways. If VMK is meant for adults then why
don't you have to be like 21 or older to sign up? I tried signing up 2 years
old and it worked.

EDIT: And belle, I feel bad for the UK players as well, I didn't mean to come across self-centered if
it seemed that way. :(

OK, but it says right on the homepage, its intended for 8-14 year olds.

Sure there is adult aspects, but then they should take the 8-14 part off

There is no way, you can say this game WAS MADE FOR ADULTS.........there is not way.

Oh yeah, that too lol. 8-14 isn't the age of most adults. ;)

On one hand, it is just a game, and I will get over it.

On the other hand, I feel like Dr. Claw at the end of an Inspector Gadget episode: "I'll get you next time, VMK. NEXT TIME!!!"
