Hi everyone,
This will be our first full Disney cruise(long story). It will be myself and my DS10. We would love to meet any fellow Diser's that will be cruising with us. And until we can meet it would be really great to chat and get to know each other. Hope to hear from all our fellow cruiser's soon.

Hi---

I'm so glad you started this post! I will be joining you on this fantastic adventure! It will me, DS 14 and DD 11....leaving DH at home! Also my friend and her DD 12. Thanks for starting the post...:cloud9:

Hello AuntMinnie12,
I am so glad to know we aren't cruising alone :rotfl:. I have been out here awhile waiting for someone to start a thread for this date and finally decided it was time to get one started. My son and I are so excited about getting to meet and make new friends. Have you ever been on a Disney cruise before? We were on the Disney Wonder for one day in August 2007, but had to get off the ship in Nassau due to my mom becoming very ill. So this will be our first full cruise. There is another couple going that I have been talking to out here and we are hoping that when it gets closer we will be able to set something up so everyone can meet. In the meantime we can chat on here and get to know one another better. Have a great day and hope to hear from you soon.

Hey--
I've been on for a while...just reading.....you beat me to the punch starting the thread! We were on 7 day on DCL in July 2002 and had a great time. Cruised with our family and my brother and his family. Amazing time! The kids asked to return again. We have been DVC members since 1993...prior to kids and frequent the Orlando area. DH is staying home this time. My friend and her DD are joining us and are very excited. She has never been on a cruise...her DD is psyched. My DS 14 is a bit nervous since he won't have a "friend" but he's pretty social. How about your DS?

Sorry to hear about your mom's illness. Glad, once again, to chat with you. Looking forward to more!:woohoo:

My son is very excited about the cruise. We have never been to Disney World, we have only stayed at Port Orleans Riverside for 2 days before our cruise last August. My son Joseph is very social both at home and at school. He wishes there were more boys on the block, but is also content playing with all the girls on the block. I guess he has to be considering the girls out number the boys on the block 4-1. He just asked me the other day if I think it will be the same way on the cruise...:rotfl:. So I think he is hoping boys vs. girls will be alittle more even. I have to admit I probably won't know what to do with my time while he is in the club. Well I hope you have a great weekend and I will talk to you soon. Take Care!!!

Morning--
I had the excitement of seeing High School Musical 3 yesterday with many 10 and 11 year old girls....just getting into the Disney spirit....like that's not always there anyway. Pretty cute! And got some bargain cruisewear for the DD....she was happy. We are DVC members at Old Key West but have stayed at several places. We frequently travel with my family and get a larger space at OKW. We love it there. Are you doing anything before or after the Wonder? And I think we are planning on Atlantis in Nassau. How about you? Off to soccer....have a great day! I'll try to boost my posts so we can PM.

I am thinking about flying in the day before and maybe just staying at the Hyatt @ MCO or maybe somewhere near the port. I've been reading alot on the boards trying to decide where to stay. If we stay near the port I would love to take my son on that Funtime tour where you get to see the Manatee's and the Dolphins, I think he would really enjoy that. I'm just not sure where to stay,do you have any suggestions? After the cruise we are just flying home. What are your plans? Have a great day and Hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Alicia:

Glad you started thread. I tried to months ago, but was so new to site, didn't know how and couldn't get message through to the site webmaster or whatever he's called because I had not posted enough messages.

Sorry I've been bad about checking disboards. Just been busy. Still really excited about the cruise though!! Can not wait actually...128 days and counting!!

We are just in GA, so we are driving down the day before and probably going to stay at one of the Disney resorts because we want to go to Downtown Disney for dinner (they have a Rainforest Cafe there and it's our favorite rest.). Disney's only about an hour or so from Port Canaveral, so we'll just drive down Sunday sometime. :thumbsup2

Hope you have a great weekend and can't wait to see everyone on our "Wonder-ful" cruise!!!

Hey Alicia:

Thanks for your message checking on me. I tried to reply but apparantly you can't send private messages until you have 10 posts, and I only have 6 (now 7 I guess...woo hoo!!).

Anyhoo...I was asking you in that message i wrote if you were doing a spa day? My b-day is on the 25th (our full day of sailing) and I've never had a massage before, so my mom said she'd get me that for my b-day if I wanted. Can't book until 75 before cruise, but I hope I book early enough to get an appointment that day.

We are also going to Palo that night (if we can get a reservation).

Anyway...can't wait to hear from you. Sorry I've been so bad about checking disboards.

Talk to you soon!!

Hi Mandy,
Your so welcome and I'm glad all is well. I will not be doing a spa day since it's just my son and I going this time. I also wanted to ask you if you know about the $99 bounceback they are offering for our cruise and if you called Disney and had it applied to your cruise. I didn't know we were eligible for it untill AuntMinnie12 told me that we are. And how lucky are you to be able to celebrate your birthday on a Disney Cruise. I would love to celebrate my birthday on a Disney cruise, but unfortunately my birthday is the end of August and my son goes back to school and I go back to work( I get summers off, because I work at his school). Take Care and I hope you and your DH have a wonderful weekend. :wizard:

Hey Alicia:

Glad to hear back from you. We are doing well...hope you are having a good week so far.

We did get an e-mail from Disney about the $99 cruise. We were going to double check and see if we could do it since we had booked prior to receiving the e-mail. If so, then we are going Oct of next year. I am so excited. I can't imagine one Disney cruise, much less 2 in one year!!

I understand about the spa with it just being to 2 of you. I was just wondering if you might go while he is at the kids club or something.

I'm excited about my birthday being on the cruise too. I'm just a big kid anyway, so I can't stand it!! :woohoo:

We are going to have so much fun! I'm sure you guys are as excited as I am!! 124 days and counting!!

Is it still cold up there? It's freezing here...my feet won't get warm (and I hate that!!). Can't wait to get to the Bahamas where I hope it's warmer!!

Hope to hear from you soon!!

Hi Mandy,
I too booked before receiving the e-mail, but I called Disney and they said yes I was eligible for the offer so she added to my ressie.

I won't be going to the spa, this cruise is for my son's spring break and to celebrate him being an Honor Student(he works very hard to make Honor Roll). He wants to go play with the dolphins,so since this cruise is more for him then me I decide to give up spa time so he could have dolphin time. With my cruise budget, I have to decide what things are more important this time around. If we are able to take advantage of the fall bounceback, then maybe I will be able to fit spa time into the budget. :)

Yep, it's cold here too. We have to take the kids out for recess and I end up freezing the whole time we are outside. :cold: And no matter what the temperature is in the Bahamas, it will be a heck of alot warmer then where we came from!!! :beach:

Enjoy the rest of your week, try to stay warm and I will talk to you soon!!!!

Hey. I totally understand about a budget. If my mom weren't doing it for me I probably couldn't do it either.

It sounds like your son deserves a trip to the dolphins. That's awesome. That is a once in a lifetime experience I'd love to do sometime too.

Thanks for telling about your conversation with Disney. I'll have my DH call them and get it added to ours too. Like I said previously, I think we will go in Oct (after hurricane "season" is supposed to be over...I know they can happen at any time, but hopefully there will be less chance off season).

I think we are going go to the aquarium @ Atlantis when we are in Nassau. I've been to Nassau before and done the whole market thing and my DH isn't a big shopper, and we both love aquariums so I think it will be fun. :fish:

Well, have a great weekend if I don't talk to you before. Any big plans for Thanksgiving? :stitch:

Just in case I don't get to talk to you guys before the holiday, just wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!! May you and yours have a blessed and safe holiday!!

We are sailing on the 3/22 cruise, too. Can someone tell me about Fish Extender? I read it on another thread but couldn't tell what it was.

Hello Save...

My DH and I will be on this cruise too!! We are very excited and can't wait to get on board the ship! We were hoping to meet some folks prior to boarding so we'd have a leg up on meeting new people. How many people will be sailing in your group?...there will just be the 2 of us.

I am not sure what Fish Extender is...I've never heard of it. I've read a lot of information about cruises on the Wonder, but have to admit, I've never come across this...if you find out anything let me know.
